CLUB HISTORY
The club was founded in 1996 after a fall out with Dundee University. Dermot o' Brien, Gerry Austin and Phil Gorrell got together and set about creating a team of their own and so Abertays gaelic football dream was born. Four years on the team has been relatively successful. In the last two years we have reached two successive British Universities Gaelic football Championships finals only to fall at the last hurdle. We were crowned Scottish Universities Champions in 1999 for the first time. With the guidance of Fr.Eugene O' Sullivan they are going from strength to strength. This season the team has completed the clean sweep of Scotland by winning both league and championship as well as the Scottish Sevens. This year the team also reached its second cuccessive British Championship final only to be beaten by St. Marys of London by 4pts.
