ABERTAY LADIES TEAM

This year has seen the re-birth of the ladies team in Abertay (with the help of one or two girls from dundee uni.) Amanda Sloan has been the main drive in getting things started up again and with the help of her side kicks Martina Boyle and Patricia Loughrey things have been looking up. The girls have played one game this year which was against Robert Gordon and it was a closely fought out affair with Robert Gordon snatching victory at the end. The girls have two games left to play and so hopefully they can pull something out of that.

The girls are organising a sevens tournment which will be held in Dawson Park, Dundee at the end of April.

The team has attracted a lot of non-irish players and girls who have never played before which is good for the game. With the guidance of Mattie Greene and his side kick Mickey Rea they have improved immensley.

The panel this year has been, Amanda Sloan, Martina Boyle, Patricia Loughrey, Marie McWilliams, Jan Urquhart, Angela Rafferty, Mia McDonald, Michelle Hay, Janice and Claire O' Boyle, Caitriona Herron, Jolene O' Hara, Orla Begley, Grainne Finucane, Jackie McHugh, Kirsten Reid, Catriona Herron, Michelle, Hay, Grainne Finucane, Andrea Poland, Susan Hanna, Maggie Kelly, Hilary Simpson, Louise Taylor, Kenna Campbell, Marie Mc Williams, Paula Leonard, Claire Whitecross.
