Deaf World
After first losing my hearing, I was devastated,
then when the world started spinning (I have Menieres) I felt hopelessly
lost. Doctors as you all know have no answers, and a lot of meaningless
words. Then I found through hearing loss link , and ALDA Chicago, other
people, wonderful people who were full of support, and understanding, and
who knew exactly where I was coming from !! I didn’t feel alone anymore,
the isolation lifted and I felt renewed hope. This brings me to the reason
for the web page. I have meet so many wonderful people, and each person
has given me many word’s which helped me when I felt like there was nowhere
to turn. That is the idea behind the site. I want it to be a voice for
anyone who wants to offer word’s of encouragement’s, personal achievement’s
or whatever to those that are out there. I have heard a lot of people say
that they wish they knew how to build their own home page, so I decided
to act as the builder. I have laid the foundation, and now I look to you
to help me build the home. I want this to be the place where people can
tell their own personal stories of UP’s & down’s, achievements, , poetry,
advice on what’s working for them, job opening’s etc.. The idea behind
the site is that we can all share ourselves with others, and in doing so
help someone else, the way we’ve been helped. I am only the builder, it
is you… who are the architects.
