Medieval Food

Introduction
The food of the Medieval Period is very different from the food we have today, as the people of the time had different eating habits and preferences. Often, the medieval dishes are not perceived highly due to the unfavorable circumstances of the time they were invented. The cooks of the time were forced to create dishes with the limited resources. Only a poor selection of ingredients and spices were available, hampering the variety of the food as a result. In addition, the methods of cooking were restricted by the basic cookery and tools used, causing the low quality of the food. In general, the dishes of the medieval period is unacceptable by today's standards and require modification in order for them to be enjoyable.
