Here is a story about two people destined for eachother. Tom is a man with a past (accidently killed three officers due to piloting error), who is desperately looking for redemption and seeks the respect and love he deserves. B'Elanna was once maquis. With a bad childhood (her father left her at age 5 and she was teased for being half klingon), she never thought anyone could love her. Together, they change eachother for the better. After a year of flirting and Toms endless invitations to dinner, B'Elanna unwillingly reveals her feelings when she sucumbs to a chemical imbalence. She will not admit to Tom that it was the truth. Finally, B'Elanna tells Tom she loves him when they are near to their deaths. Floating in space and running out of oxygen, B'Elanna shares her secret with him in the hopes of gaining honour. She gained a whole lot more than honour. They encounter many lovely moments and some arguments over the next couple years (see must see episodes) and finally get married. Once again in a near death experience, Tom proposes and sets his priorities straight. They have a quick private ceremony and honeymoon on the Delta flyer. Still Newlyweds, B'Elanna discovers that she is pregnant. Since they wanted a famliy, They were overjoyed. Suprised, even a little overwhelmed, but happy. After some terrible flashbacks, B'Elanna then decides to save her daughter from the torment she got from being Klingon as a child, and trys to alter their babies DNA. She is also afraid that Tom will leave her like her father did. He proves his love to her, and they share a beautiful moment. Finally, in the last moment of the series, B'Elanna gives birth to Miral Paris. A new life and a new beggining as Voyager heads home and Tom and B'Elanna look forward to their future together as a family.
