After His Resurrection, Jesus appeared to His disciples. His disciples thinking that Jesus was a spirit who come back from the dead proved to them that He had risen in the flesh. To prove this He asked His disciples, “Have you any food?” So they gave Him a piece of a broiled fish with some honeycomb. And He took it and ate in their presence. Fish one of the foods mentions in the Bible was a major industry during the time of Jesus. Particularly since some of Jesus’ disciples were fishermen and a number of Jesus’ parables, miracles and teachings concerned the fish. The greatest miracle was when Jesus fed the multitude of people with just two fish. Because of its availability it was the staple food of the Jewish people. The health benefits of fish I that it is an excellent source of protein and low in saturated fats and calories and rich in healthy oils, vitamins and minerals. One of the best foods created by nature comes from the bee. The fruit of the hive consists of pollen, royal jelly, propolis and honey. Royal jelly has one of the richest forms of pantothenic acid, which is Vitamin B5. Propolis contains 500 times the bioflavonoids concentration of oranges.

 

In ancient times of the Bible we can learn a lot of the dietary laws of the Jewish people. These laws were given by God to Moses and the children of Israel in Leviticus 9 and 11 and laid the foundation for healthy living. If we all went back to the Bible and studied what they ate we’d all be in better health. In the book of Daniel, the patriarch chose to eat pulse, which from the Hebrew means ‘raw vegetables’ (actually beans) and water and fasted. I have a whole article that deals with fasting. Some books on this subject have been written on this same basic principle of eating healthy and living a better life. One of these books is called The Maker’s Diet and another, Patient Heal Thyself; both by Jordan Rubin refer to this same principle. Men and women like Kevin Trudeau (author, Natural Cures They Don’t Want You to Know), Doctors John Whittaker, Don Colbert, Reginald Cherry, Ted Boer, John McDougall and Victoria Saxion (Silver Creek Labs) have revolutionized the way Americans can live healthier, happier lives. These professionals by research and dedication to the field have firm beliefs that all wellness come from the Holy Bible, and natural organic living is the only way to long life and productivity.
