What’s in Your Nutritional Supplements: Are You Getting the Right Ones? By
Teresa Carr Natural medicine and natural supplements are a grow business
by leaps and bounds. Health has been a concern for a decade and the threat of
obesity, diabetes, heart disease, stroke and other debilitating diseases are
climbing at a record rate. Another concern is the nutritional supplement
market. Selling a product does mean it is the greatest thing around. The
truth is not all supplements are good for you. Some brands contain a lot of
fillers and lots claim they have top quality ingredients, which they don’t.
So how is one get the right supplements? First, don’t be a fanatic and over
do the pill popping paradox. There has been successful evidence of healthful
benefits of fruit and vegetable consumption. Supplements are not as effective
as the synergy of multiple nutrients working in whole foods. Superfoods of every
color of the rainbow are vital for fat burning, muscle building, body
functions, and protective antioxidants. Some of these superfoods include
blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, cranberries, cherries, pineapple,
watermelon, papaya, cantaloupe, broccoli, artichokes, bell peppers, spinach,
chicory, sweet potato, Brussels sprouts, romaine lettuce. Supplementation and
hyper-fortification can cause excess in daily nutrient requirements, which
can lead to toxicity and liver damage. When God (Yahveh) created the earth
and all that was in it for man to live and thrive he gave man all the food
needed, every kind of grass, seed, herb, and fruit tree providing all the
nutrients necessary for man to accomplish his work (Genesis 1:11, 12, 29, 30;
2:5-10, 16-17). God also said, “my people are destroy for lack of
knowledge, because you have rejected knowledge (Hosea 4:6).” We can’t be
without knowledge in our daily living. This is why America is in trouble. One
who can’t afford health insurance can’t afford to be sick. The best time to
start is now before dire straits happen. I’ve done a good amount of research
on supplements, nutrients, natural medicines, diets, food science, etc. and
I’ve come to the conclusion look to the authority of health, the Great Physician
for the answers to all your problems. Every individual is different and our
bodies are designed just so just as the Creator created you. REF: Dole Nutrition.
