Graphic DesignThe
graphic design gallery has my work I created using layout design, typography
and imagery. I implement a clean-cut, simple design as I believe that less is
more is a workable theory. From
time to time I will add to this section.
I believe that graphic design is always changing as technology is
always changing. Trying to keep up
with everything is a job within itself. If you know of any publication,
graphic communication conferences going on in your neck of the woods, please e-mail me on any updates. I’d really
appreciate it very much.
3D DesignI
remember when 3-D design started as a craze phase. Interest groups on the internet formed e-mail lists, forums and
galleries and some still exist today.
In the professional design studio 3D design has change the way we look
at entertainment. What a live actor
can’t do the 3D wizard can do just about anything with the wave of the magic
mouse, tablet, and pen.
IllustrationI called this section
my favorite specialty. It’s what I
love doing and I make it my life’s passion.
Some of my best subjects are from the Bible and from everyday life. Art imitates life is my motto. If it
wasn’t for art how can life survive. Look anywhere and you can see it. When you drive down the road and see a
billboard.
I
create illustration on a freelance basis.
I have stock illustration in progress from clipart quality to
full-color artwork. If you need an
illustration for your project e-mail
me your request. My favorite
works ae related to Christian-type themes, children’s books, and CD
design. I do NOT do any obscene,
dark, vulgar or anything in poor taste.

This
is where my life began first with simple paper and pencil and pen. Afterward it grew into a case full of paint
of color, palette and brushes. I was
always drawn to the surreal and the photo real, the minimal to the complex and
pop to classic.
My
favorite artists are Norman Rockwell, Richard Estes, Audrey Flack, Diego
Velasquez, Salvador Dali, Michelangelo, Billy Apple, Edward Hopper, Rosa Bonheur,
John Singer Sargent, Thomas Blackshear II, C. Michael Dudash, the monks of the
Illuminated Gospels, Caravaggio, Carl Bloch, and Heinrich Hofmann. My works
include landscapes, still life, real life, supernatural, sci-fi, fantasy and
figures (human and animals). I’ve worked in a variety of medium including
colored pencil, graphite pencil, pen and ink, acrylic, gouache, watercolor,
photography, collage and sculpture. I have in this section a mixture of
traditional I’ve done.
Every
company has some kind of brand or logo that is recognizable in everyday
living. When you drink a cup of coffee
in the morning the manufacturer who produced it has the brand on the package,
or the computer you’re using has the mark of the company who made it. These are corporate identity images. Corporate identity can be found on business
cards, letterheads, brochures, menus, direct mail or just about any business
credential. It what make the business rock!
The
Bible is one of the most published books in history. Also being well read is another story. Many ideas can come from the amazing, awesome book. The best loved romantic and historical
stories can be taken from this book can be put to canvas and even film. It just takes 1% inspiration and 99%
perspiration. I am most passionate about this than others I have done. It helps
me to grow spiritually. Most of all it has changed my life and how I look at my
art and life through God’s eyes. The part of being an artist is faith,
believing that you can do anything with strength in Christ (Philippians 4:13).
Even if you have faith the size of a mustard seed you can do the impossible
(Matt. 17:20).
When
you read a magazine you see images that accompany an article, convey an idea or
sell a product. Editorial images bring
life to any reading material and stays with you longer. It’s like having French fries with that
hamburger. A good editorial design depends
a good concept before the artwork. By reading the article can give one a vision
of the work in progress. An ability to discern what style and trend will work
with the editorial. A good sense of humor is always perfect to possess and let
shine in your artwork. They’re always looking for an illustrative comic
Jonathan Winters or David Sedaris in the bunch.
Like
any advertiser selling a product to the consumer a promotional piece does
actually the same. The artwork speaks
for itself. It may translate an idea to
its audience or it may tell a story or spark the imagination. The Internet is a growing media where the
creative skills of a graphic designer or artist are visually in the essence of
their profession. The important thing is to be different from what you think
people expect. Being different is how they remember you.
Can
you spell prestidigitation? Can you
make sentences sing and draw an audience?
Can you get your point across in concise, clear type? Is your editing
and research skills one step above? If you can do all this then you must be a
writer. I have a passion for the
written word so much I’ve devoted a section to some of the work I’ve done in
the past few years. I write about mostly graphic communications, the arts,
how-tos, Christian living, bible study, history, health, organic living, and
current issues.

work in progress
