The following foods should be the staple in everyone’s pantry for the best optimum health in your family’s household. If you are an avid organic gardener or farmer why not plant some of these super foods and enjoy them anytime.

  1. Blueberries (Strawberries, Raspberries, Blackberries, Goji Berry, Red Grapes) – This super berry group packed full of antioxidants should be in one’s daily regime. These are great in smoothies. Just add to a blueberry smoothie in a blender; 1-cup vanilla low-fat yogurt, 1-cup chilled pineapple-orange juice, 1/2 banana, 2 cups of fresh or frozen organic blueberries, slightly thawed, 1 Tbsp. raw honey and blend until smooth.
  2. Sprouted Seeds, Nuts, Beans and other legumes, including red beans, red kidney beans, black beans, lentils, peas and red pinto beans. Include some of these in your diet every day.
  3. Oatmeal - new research has confirmed that oatmeal has as much power punch to cholesterol, high blood pressure and cardiovascular health than does oat bran.
  4. Lycopene packed foods (Tomatoes, Watermelon, Guava). The best sources are the canned tomato products like tomato sauces, ketchup, pastes and pasta sauces. Stock up and feel the love!
  5. Raw Honey and other Bee products – the best source is from unpasteurized and unfiltered. Royal Jelly, propolis, honeycomb and bee pollen are other byproducts from the hive. Precaution most bee products aren’t for everybody. People with allergies to bee products and certain plants (conifer and poplar trees) should not use them.
  6. Omega 3 EFA – the best deep-water ocean fish are salmon, halibut, tuna, cod, sea bass and sardines (in water or olive oil, not soy bean oil) cod liver oil (Norwegian is best source), or you can obtain it from plant sources like Flax seed (best ground).
  7. Nattokinase, or Fermented Soybean Curd, is the only food that has the highest concentration of Vitamin K2, which can also be found in egg yolks and fermented cheeses (not processed).
  8. Goat’s Milk, probiotic yogurt, kefir (low-fat kefir is a great source for Vitamin K2), cottage cheese and other cultured dairy made from goat’s milk.
  9. Citrus Fruits (Oranges, Grapefruits, Lemons, Fractionated Citrus Pectin)
  10.
