I would like to know what is a group of vampires called? what is the male leader of a group of vampires called? and what is the highest position a woman can hold and what would she be called?
Thank you very much

I know that the commonly-held fiction likes to portray us in clans, or groups, or some such arrangement, but in reality, we're really not that organized. Granted there are things that some of us do in specialty-some of us are the holders of ancient lore and act as librarians and general historians, some of us hold positions of decision-making, adapting to changes and, when necessary, deciding to take action against a danger or foe, and some of us have been guides or mentors-there to help a newly discovered
vampire come to his or her senses and to learn to adapt with the broad ramifications it brings...some of us even act as the enforcers-ensuring that no one steps too far out of line and that if someone has, and it's been decided that there is need to correct it, they have the task to make things right. We all play parts in life, and being a vampire is no different. We all have duties to our families and our safety...A woman vampire can be anything she wants-there is no limit to her possibility just as there is no limit to that of a man. He or she could devote more or less time to the community as he or she chooses. If they want to be active and involved, great. If not, then they can live their life unhindered. It's not really a power struggle
and it only ever is one a person takes it upon themselves to challenge another...some people want it to be like the movies and will abuse their nature. Most often this happens to one who is turned and can not understand what it really means to be a vampire. And, usually, it also results in the termination of the person because, we are not evil, we are not violent, and we will not stand for the disgrace those types of actions bring upon us. It's a danger that can not be tolerated.

So, I think I have gone way off tangent here from your original questions, but, it boils down to the simple truth that we do not align ourselves in clans. We have our friends and family, both vampire and mortal and we live our lives. I guess it really lacks the intrigue that the fiction has!
