I have always considered myself to be a Traditional Left Hand Path (LHP) Witch, my tradition goes back as far as the legendary Witch of Endor and all the Witches of that time who practiced necromancy and was often called upon by the church when they needed assistance in matters their god didn't provide answers to. When it comes to Witchcraft you have to keep in mind that it's not based on a one size fits all concept. Left-Hand Path Witches do not follow the teachings of any bible or religious book they follow nature and its laws. Many Traditional LHP Witches do not worship a deity they see nature as being the great teacher; if we wanted to play follow the leader we would join a church. We believe that a Craft is not necessarily a religion it's a CRAFT a way of working magick. We have a profound respect for nature but we do not worship nature we live in harmony with it. Unlike those who take a white-light approach to magick and the occult we believe the concept of good and evil right and wrong is subjective and by no means are they perceived as objective. These concepts of right and wrong are Xian concepts and we do not see them as valid. Nature is both loving and cruel all at the same time and it is up to the individual to decide what is his or her morals are not the church. There's a quote from the movie The Craft that says "If God and the Devil were playing football, Manon would be the stadium that they played on. It would be the sun that shone down on them". If you replace the word Manon with Nature you will have a good understanding of our my beliefs.

I for one place my feet firmly on The Left Hand Path as one of the Autumn People who see past the man-made religions created by humans to enslave the mind, the body, and the spirit. We know that there will always be EARTH, AIR, FIRE & WATER for they are eternal, unlike the man-made religions that go against nature and its laws. There's an old saying that states if the Christian Bible were left out in the wind and rain it would be destroyed. Our Bible IS the wind and rain.
