I know it seems a little incongruous -- the blue-eyed blond with the Latino name and best-selling CD in Spanish, but hey, welcome to Nuevo America, the melting pot. With monster English-language hits like "Genie In A Bottle" and "What A Girl Wants," Ms. Aguilera is one of the nation's greatest young singing stars.
This image really shows you those liquid blue eyes. Her irises have a vibrant shimmering color that really sparkles in the right light. And when the photographer gets the subject to dip her chin, and look slightly up at the camera, it allows the natural beauty of the eyebrow to accentuate the power of an already compelling gaze. I suspect she wears contacts, but haven't really invested much effort into finding out such things.
Bonus make-up tip: I can tell you that the lady has somewhat close-set eyes, which I don't consider detracting. Make-up artist Scott Andrew told In Style Makeover his tips for Aguilera are 1.) avoid heavy liner on inner corners (and you can see a little on the shot above), 2.) concentrate color on outer corners, and 3.) lighten the inner corners with gloss or a pale iridescent shadow.
