|OVERALL RATINGS|

Play Control: *****: It doesnt really get much better then this, A, B, and C all jump and of course you use the D-Pad to move

Graphics: **** : It really could've been better, when you look at 2, and 3 compared to this it is almost sad, but it makes up for it with speed

Animation: ****1/2 : I really liked a lot of the sprites in this game, like the twirling flowers and waterfalls

Music: *****: A lot of the tunes (if not all) are very, very well done. This game has the best music of all the Sonic games

Sound Effects: *** : Some of them were quite fitting, but i'd rather listen to nails on a chalkboard then listen to Sonic jump

Plot: * : What plot???

Difficulty: ***1/2 : This is an overall easy game, but some of the levels are just plain annoying

Replay Value: *****: Awesome Replay value, This game never gets old

Polish: **** : I did like a lot of the colors in this game

OVERALL: 90%

Truly a great game, one of the best of this genre. It is truly a pity the story wasnt as good as it should've been (A hedgehog that collects rings, Oh yeah, really attractive)

Postive Things: This was truly a great game, the music was great, the speed, the attaction, and it truly reaches it's 90% rating

Negative Things: The plot and the sound Sonic makes when he jumps

Special Stage

GREEN HILL ZONE

Act 1: This act is too easy, all I do is run (literally holding right on D-Pad) and jump to grab rings. Near the end of the level jump to get the special ring so you can get a Chaos Emerald

Act 2: This is another easy one. I like to grab the Speed Up in this area (in the lower region of the level) and run and grab the Invincible and go to town, you should be able to get 50 rings so you can get to the special stage and get the 2nd Chaos Emerald

Act 3: There is an Invincible right in the tree above you when you start this act. Grab it and run your ass off. Grab those rings along the way, there's no need for 50 in this area because of the boss in this act.

GREEN HILL ZONE BOSS!!!

This is it the very first battle versus Robotnik, some people say it is the hardest battle for some odd reason. Well...here goes nothing...There are two platforms, one to your left, and one to your right. Stand on one of them and jump to hit him, the chain on the Ball n' Chain wont hurt you, so jump there to dodge his attack. Continue this process and you'll prevail.
