You see a man whose heart is filled with tenderness
He looks at her with eyes so radiant blue
To him she is the center of his universe

There is no troubled plea he will ignore
You see a man who listens, offers comfort
And you know that he can never give you more

I see a girl whose heart is filled with sadness
Her eyes are dark with memories of pain
I see a girl whose laughter covers shattered dreams
This girl believes she'll never love again

You see a man who loves his lady utterly
I see a girl whose dark eyes drink him in
She watches him in silent admiration
I see a girl begin to love again

You see a man who sees a girl in awe of him
He turns to her and bows, holds out his hand
For one enchanted dance he holds her in his arms
And then...you see the two dance on...
I see her dance alone again
