Join MIssouri abolitionists for a
March in March
to abolish the death penalty

Saturday, March 6, 1999
11:30 AM to 1:30 PM
Missouri State Capitol
Jefferson City
On March 1, 1847, the State of Michigan became the first English-speaking territory to abolish the death penalty. This is now celebrated as National Abolition Day. Let's tell our state officials we want the Show-Me State to lead the way and become the first English-speaking territory of the 21st century to abolish the death penalty. Assemble at West Main St. & Missouri Blvd. (Lot 12) at 11:30 for march around the Capitol and Governor's mansion, then back around to South side of capitol for rally.
