Wow! Opportunities to Volunteer for FOR!

Here's a fine way to labor cooperatively with others in crafting a more compassionate, peaceable and just society utilizing the skills you possess and/or performing a task (or tasks) you enjoy...

• FOR Newsletter: Writing an article, editing articles; poem on peace, etc.; ink pen drawings/cartoon of various topics


• FOR Newsletter: Helping assemble newsletter and help do bulk mailing


• Computerize FOR phone list


• Clip news stories from Columbia Daily Tribune editions (many back issues yet to scan) for filing (relating to various social justice issues, area homicides, peace concerns, etc.)


• Research various topics


• Assist in organizing logistics for statewide forming conference (October 27) for Murder Victims Families for Reconciliation (support group for families and individuals who have lost a loved one to murder. FOR is the hosting group)


• Enter data for Legislative Alert Network (LAN) for Missourians to Abolish the Death Penalty (striving to organize at least one contact in all 162 legislative districts in the state) to be able to activate to contact their state lawmakers regarding various death-penalty bills


• Assist in assembling mailings to churches around the state, offering to present program on the death penalty and inviting their congregation members to join MADP's LAN (Legislative Alert Network)


• Plus other areas of peace-with-justice concerns you would like to see FOR engaged in, especially if you are willing to lead our group in the endeavor
