Synagogues of Eastern Europe

Before World War II there were thousands synagogues scattered throughout Eastern Europe. They represented an essential part of Jewish heritage and culture. Today only a small remnant remains. These pictures of a "culture that once was" - is an attempt to preserve that heritage.
