The FRIDAY THE 13TH Movies:

*Friday The 13th (1980)

Directed by: Sean Cunningham

Jason Played By: Ari Lehman (14 years old then, Now in a band)

The first film in the series pits Jason's over protective psychopathic mom against a bunch of over acting sex crazed teens at her sons summer camp. Jason makes a small Cameo at the end in a dream like shock ending (cool touch I might add). I did think the chick fight at the end was kinda lame but its still an okay flick to see.

*Friday the 13th Part 2 (1981)

Directed by: Steve Miner

Jason: Warrington Gillette

This film is the first time Jason takes center stage. He wears a sack over his head (a secret hommage to the clasic "Town that Dreaded Sundown") wich is just straight up, flat out freaky! The close ups where his eye darts left and right are enough to send chills down a dead man's spine! Aparently the actor playing jason often found himself dizzy and disoriented due to only using one eye. This one has a great chase ending. I didn't like the lack of incentive for Jasons reserection.

*Friday the 13th Part 3-D (1982)

Director: Steve Miner

Jason: Richard Brooker

Steve Miner returns to the directors helm to make this flick (Steve Miner is the only person to direct two Friday Movies). Jason Dawns his famed hockey mask for the first time. The ending is great, the seemingly unstoppable Jason, takes an axe in the head and stays down... 'till the next one... This flick was originally filmed in 3-D and was viewable through thoes funky red and blue glasses! The video version is normal though.

*Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter (1984)

Director: Josephg Zito

Jason: Ted White (who wanted no screen credit)

The final Jason movie where he actually scares the hell out of you. Kinda a flat story line but over all an okay movie. Ted White was afraid he would suffer the same fate the other past actors who played Jason did (carreers foing down hill) so he asked to not recieve any screen credit.

*Friday the 13th Part V: A New Beginning (1985)

Director: Danny Steinmann

Jason: Ted White (fake ass.)

The real Jason has a small cameo. This movie pulls the series down, in my opinion. I mean, some one pretends to be Jason for gods sake! The only good thing to come out of this flick was the eerie "chee-cheee-cheee-ah-ah-ah" thing. (called the Dies Irae F.Y.I.)

*Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives (1986)

Director: Tom McLoughlin

Jason: C.J. Graham

Lets face it folks. They picked a loser to play all grown up Tommy. The man couldn't act! The return of the real Jason was cool and I liked the humor but I think it was over done... I did like the lightning resurrection! The lame boat ending kinda put a damper on the movie though.

*Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood (1988)

Director: John Carl Buechler

Jason: Kane Hodder

They finaly found someone cool to play Jason! Mr.Hodder played Jason in all the rest of the Jason flicks to date. The movie it's self was weak becaues of poor scripting and lead acting, but Kane found his niche. Its kinda sad when the best actor in a movie doesn't say a thing.

*Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan (1989)

Director: Rob Hedden

Well Jason finally decided to take a vacation! (j/k) I liked how most of the movie took place on a cruise ship, and ended in NY. the ending kinda ruined it though. Over all: a good movie. (A little FYI: Kane Hodder apperently opposed the lame ending)

*Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday (1993)

Director: Adam Marcus

Jason decides to try on different bodies for size. This movie was loved by some and lothd by others. I really liked some of the special effects in this one though. This film contains a small cameo by Freddy Krueger... wierd huh? This was the second film in the series to use the word FINAL in the title.

*Jason X (2002)

Director: James Isaac

The movie takes place 500 years from now... Jason was frozen to be contained because the government realized they couldn't kill him. 500 years later he is un frozen by a group of students on a field trip. The bulk of the film takes place on a space ship where I guess sharp objects and hockey masks are still around. This one had a pretty lame ending but UBER JASON looks cool.

A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET (full series review)

How cool is this? A wise-cracking, psyco killer who can only get you in you're dreams, with a scared face and wicked homemade claw-glove. Now this is truly a cool series. Blood, in the movies, is good. In this series, there was alot of it. In the latest "Nightmare on Elm St." movie, "Wes Craven's New Nightmare", they had cool special effects. I liked the electronic claw, and the possesed kid who tapes the knives to his fingers. Over all I think that this series got better and better. Out of all of them, I liked the New Nightmare and Dream Warriors the best. I'm sure eventually I'll review each film individually, but for now thats all I got.

Michael Myers as Drawn By Steve Adelmund. Click Here for full view.

HALLOWEEN

Michael Myers. The perfact killer. No fear. No motive. No where to hide. Just Michael... Michael and the 'RAGE' that drives him. The Halloween movies all rocked (With the exception of #3: Season of the Witch, which had nothing what so ever to do with any of the other movies). You learn more about Michael, the further you get into them. You learn that the reason that michael is killing people is because of a rage inside of him, This rage is activated untill every one of his relitives is dead, due to an evil spirit called Thorn. Go figure. Talk about family problems. I'm sure eventually I'll review each film individually, but for now thats all I got. This is my favorite Horror series.

*Halloween 8: Resurrection

An Online Reality tv show takes place in the haddonfield home of Mikey, and he comes back. this movie was the first one in along time to actually scare me... It had some sweet "Blair Witchie" camera styles.

Chucky as Drawn By Steve Adelmund. Click Here for full view.

*Child's Play

The Childs play series rocked, what other movie made kids everywere afraid of thoes damn "My Buddy" dolls? The Good Guys doll that Charles Lee Ray possesed was modeled after the, at the time, popular line of kids toys. Chucky also mannaged to make parents rethink leaving their kid alone with his or her toys. In the first one we see Charles Lee Ray get gunned down in a toy shop, use some voodoo and transport his body into a doll. To get out of the doll he has to possess the body of the first person to see him alive, a boy named Andy.

*Child's Play 2

After being burnt to a crisp in the first one, Chucky's spirit is waiting to be re-born into another Good Guys doll which is perfect for him when the CEO decides to re run the popular doll series. Chucky ends up battling it out with his good 'ol pal Andy in a toy factory in the final climax scene.

*Child's Play 3

Two words: Boot Camp. Chucky is re-made again and finds Andy in a Boot Camp for kids. You can bet Chucky has some fun there. A large fan Chops him to pieces in the end, puting an end to Andy's misery...

*The Bride of Chucky

Chucky had a girlfriend in life named Tiffany. Tiff is a loyal, and loving girl who bribes a cop into getting chuckys smashed remains from out of an evidence locker. With the Help of some staples and "Voodoo For Dummies" Chucky is back on his feet with knife in hand in no time. After a little quarell, Chucky decides that his girl needs to be his size so he kills her and puts her body into a pint sized doll too. This film had a ton of humor and decent story line. Alot of people didn't like it but I did.

Leatherface as Drawn By Steve Adelmund. Click Here for full view.

*Texas Chainsaw Massacre

The Sawyer family is one messed up family. When they have you over for dinner, it usually means that you are the main corse. Bubba "Leatherface" Sawyer is the muscle behind getting meals and is usually the butcher. They call him leatherface, because he tends to wear his victem's skins. His fav. tool of the trade is a chain saw, which he uses with great skill. He wears three masks, "Killing Mask", "Old Lady Mask", and his favorite, the "Pretty Woman Mask." He sometimes wears the flesh and clothing of women but isn't a homosexual. He wears the lady masks to give him an escape from his violent side. Dayton Sawyer, Leatherface's father, has won awards for his world class chili, his secret ingredient being unknown...

Pinhead as Drawn By Steve Adelmund. Click Here for full view.

*The Hellraiser Series

Clive Barker is a genius. He finds sick and twisted ways to pull and stretch human skin that most sane people would never dream of, he not only does this, but makes it look artfull. He is a true master at what he does. The special effects in all of the Hellraiser flicks are unparrelleled. Pinhead is a demon summoned by a puzzle box called the Laminent Configuration, that's perpose is to open the gates of hell. Once summoned, only the Laminent Configuration can put Pinhead and his Cenobites back in hell. Their goal is to take as many souls back with them as possible.

The Wishmaster as Drawn By Steve Adelmund. Click Here for full view.

*Wishmaster

The Wishmaster is an evil genie called a Djinn who's main goal is to open the gates to his parallel world by granting the wishes of 1,000 greedy humans in exchange for their souls. Played by genius Andrew Divoff, the Wishmaster is one bad ass Djinn, who could trick an Iraqi Soldier into buying sand. This highly underrated gem is definantly worth a look.

The Leprechaun as Drawn By Steve Adelmund. Click Here for full view.

*The Leprechaun

Played by Mr. Warwick Davis, the Leprechaun is not as happy go lucky a charcter as you would think. His main priority is to protect his gold, at all costs even if it kills you. Warwick's wonderful charm and wit combined with great costume and makeup are all that seperate this series from B list movies. Warwick is so animated in his charcter that you almost forget that he's acting and believe that he is this evil leprechaun with razor sharp claws and teeth. The sign of a truly great actor. I feel that this series was under rated and it's over use of nudity was perfect for the strange story line. Up untill "Leprechaun in Da Hood" I was a big fan of this Humor ridden series, but now I'm afraid to ask. You see I have not seen Lep In da hood and I don't plan to. You can take a movie so far before you butcher it. Warwick, you must be gettin' paid alot a 'Bling Bling' for this so "My hats off to you lad."
