APRIL 2000
Newcastle, Australia

This year the millennium is certainly progressing fast as first three months have flown by, but there is more to come. We are sure that this year 2000 will be exciting for all involved in Line Dancing.
Tamworth was again a successful event with a host of new dances emanating from the competitions and demonstrations as usual from these new dances coming out there. There are some which are popular and some hard to conquer.
Congratulations to Bob English, Val & Ron McLeish, Brenda Chivers, Barb from West Lakes and Robyn Thurston for entering and gaining awards, exciting stuff and wonderful effort.
Thanks to all for attending our first three socials at Warners Bay as we feel these theme nights are successful and also our first two at Lambton Bowling Club.
We welcome new faces and open-heartedly welcome old ones (not by age that is) and we thank you all for your support.
Brochures for coming events are available so don't hesitate to ask, also White Christmas Tickets are selling fast so hurry and book now (see the specials section of this page). Remember to listen to 100.9 Port Stephens FM for Line Dancing socials, Wednesday nights, 7pm to 10pm, Dj Rocky Rhodes. Phone requests on 49841616.

What We Do

Well, basically we line dance. But that is not all, we also have fun doing it. We line dance to Lou Beaga, Five and The Venga Boys. Lately we have been having dress-up theme nights which have been a huge success. We have seen Marilyn Munroe, The Addams Family, Dorithy, Maverick, The Nanny and even Elliot Ness. The theme nights so far have been Valentines day, all country, and your favourite tv or movie star. Photos of our last theme night will be in the gallery soon!

Current Line Dances

Dancing Violins

This is a new dance in the tradition of the Irish River dance genre. A little tricky to learn but
when you do it is worth it. Plenty of room for variation too. Great music too. It touches your
soul.

Larger Than Life

This is a dance to the musical melodies of Five's song, Larger Than Life. Not much room for
variation. But that's ok because this whole dance is heaps of variations chucked into one dance
with some great music added.

Feet Don't Fail Me Now

An appropriate title for this dance. This is a fast paced dance with great music. This dance is not
recommended for beginners but if you feel confident, then give it a go. Don't say i didn't warn you.

Pot of Gold

Another dance in the Irish River Dance tradition. Not hard to learn and there is plenty of room for
some great variations.

B.E.N (bailet' este' notche)

This dance is exelenta'. It is a dance with a manic mexican rumba rhythm and beat. Not the most easy
dance that we do but it is worth learning.

Every Now and Then

This dance has medioca music, is not to easy to learn but it won't take too long to have it down pat.

Somewhere Out There

This is a dance that is more than likely here to stay. A much loved favorite of both the advanced and
beginner dancers. A sort of middle of the road dance.

Just You and Me

This is one of the most beautiful dances that i have seen. A waltz with a modern quick-step twist, done
to the beautiful ballad by Ronan Keating, When you say nothing at all.

Love me

This is an incredibly easy dance to do and learn. Even my pet bird could do it. It is just a basic cha-cha
to some lovely country music.
