Mr. McConnell tells Mork and Mindy about his new girlfriend Margaret. Mindy invites him and Margaret to dinner. Margaret offers Mindy a job as a journalist at her newspaper. But when Mork naively repeats all of what Frederick told them about Margaret, the job offer is gone, and so is Margaret. Mork wants to go back to Ork, because Mindy is mad at him. But when he calls Orson requesting to return to Ork, Orson shows Mork how Mindy’s life would’ve turned out without Mork.
