Formed over 4 years ago, Beanflipper have been hailed as Australia's fastest growing grind-punk hybrid. They however prefer themselves as the purveyors of the pot smokers grind, heavily influenced by hardcore and metal.

Born out of acute boredom and frustration with the then almost stagnant underground scene, the band was formed by the former guitarist with Melbourne hardcore outfit, Warp Spasm, in the wake of their reunion gigs in April '93.
In the time they have been together, beanflipper have gained a huge following both in Melbourne and interstate playing with both bands as diverse as The Meanines, Christbait, Damaged, Armoured Angel, Misery, Bloodduster, Toe To Toe, Subversion, Necrotomy, Persecution, Hateman, Mid Youth Crisis, Effigy, Segression, Moler and countless others.
Two of their songs featured on the highly succesful sell-out debut release from Deported Records, the Sounds of Ordinary Madness CD- a compilation boasting over 70 minutes of the most intense hardcore and grindcore on offer in Australia today.

Beanflipper also feature on the Worst Case Scenario CD compilation with among others, Damaged, Misery, Sadistik Exekution, Toe To Toe, Persecution, Unclean and Terrible Virtue, which was released on Underclass Records.
The addition of new vocalist Rick to the line-up in September '95 saw the band go from strength to strength. Beanflipper's efforts have culminated in the release of their debut full length CD titled Total Dysfunctional Collapse. The band performed shows in Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide, and also scored a support slot for Napalm Death's recent tour.
The band came to the attention of Shock Records on the strength of the CD, and the band was subsequently signed to the Shagpile label. Beanflipper then released the EP Rodent Ulcer, containing 5 filty tracks, which showed they upped the intensity they displayed on their previous release. Beanflipper performed many gigs around the country, including a spot on the annual Metal For The Brain festival in Canberra in December, 1996.
They wasted no time in getting back into the studio to record their latest full length release Garden Variety Manic Depressent. the result was a combination of their previous two releases, but with a sound all of it's own.
