What's up in class.......
While the first few weeks of school rarely lead to quatum leaps in knowledge acquisition, they are extremely important in setting the stage for a productive and positive year. Teachers spend the time learning about each students strengths and needs. Students learn the expectations of each classroom and refresh skills which are often rusty after a summer off.
Our first unit is How to get an A. The objectives of this unit include learning student names (we operate cooperatively much of the time, and I think there is no bigger insult in a cooperative class than saying what's your name after working together for three or more months), expectations, measuring, and basic lab equipment. A study guide can be found by following the link to the left. Links to study guides for all of our units are also included if you'd like to preview the year.
