All around the UK preparations are underway to make this year’s MS Week the biggest and we are determined to do our bit. We have therefore arranged a number of events and hope that you, your family and friends will be able to give whatever support you can.

There will be a collection in the town centre on the 21st April. Flag days are our main source of income so we need you to help us help you. Nine people collecting for 1 hour is better than 3 people collecting for 3 hours, so if you, your family or friends can spare an hour give Sue Filby a call on 239472

The idea of Cake Break is for groups or individuals to offer a cup of tea or coffee and a slice of cake to friends, neighbours, colleagues etc and ask for a donation , say £1, to raise funds for the branch. The branch will be holding our own Cake Break Day at Southend Close Community Centre on Wednesday 23rd April, starting at 11am. So please get baking or come along and have a cuppa.

The Branch will be holding an Open Evening on the 26th April at the Stevenage Leisure Centre. The evening is for people who are affected by MS to drop in for information and meet the Branch.

The Committee have become aware that our carers need support as much as our MS sufferers, so we would like to organise some function just for carers.

For some members, getting to Branch meetings can be difficult due to transport problems. If this is the reason you haven’t been able to attend in the past please let us know as help is at hand. We would be delighted to arrange a lift for any of you, with wheelchair if required, as long as you are able to transfer to a car seat, we can accommodate you.
