an enzymesandautism message board post (written feb 4th 2003) describing a day trip to south cape, tasmania

southcape

just in a cybercafe in hobart, have been down via huonville and the coast (where the osyters are so thick i would have a meal by bashing the shells on the rocks.............

unbelievably autistic the population going down.............

south cape is a two or three hour walk from cockle bay the beginning of a trail going for days along the coast up through some very rough rainforest country.... have you ever seen tents with 44 gallon drum barbacue type fireplaces for warmth in the middle of summer?

anyway had a brillant day going over, the previous day was cloudy inland but you could see fabulous bare mountains in the distance, one a vast smooth rock top, like a table top, alongside moonlight ridge i think.

when you get to the end of the track you are on a cliff right over the southern ocean.......... huge surf rolling in about from a kilometer out and crashing with a roar........ walked down along the beach a bit until the rocks got too jumbly to be worth walking further over to the next beach .......

not a lot of colour in the scrub swept up by the wind along the cliffs and sand dune ......... but stumbled up an amazing little valley with a small stream trickling out of the dunes..... full of colour of browns russets a purple flower right on the stream and and white flower further up the bank....... got a shoe wet which is generally a good sign.......

sleeping in the vehicle and living on cherries and no fenol for breakfast.......no fenol seems to provide a long lasting blood sugar with cherries and perhaps other fruits, went several days with really only cherries and no fenol for breakfast and maybe without dinner one day as well.

picked up a stone by a river before going for a a swim and got bitten by jack ants which have a black body and red legs and some fingers are swollen from the bites........ had given up msm but have been taking 300 mg of msm from mid last night to see if it will reduce the swelling and it seems to be going down.........
