well mr. bukowski poems in the trash bin are still there

if you drank a little less you might have been a bit smarter

you have a good edge, but its not razor sharp

editors are scum

why i don't know

they just are

its very hard to tell good and bad poems

tho a very good one

one can have an immediate sense of

i don't rely on my immediate feeling about a poem

but let some time go by

and usually always i include them

on the basis

i am a genius

and anything even dribble from my hands is ok

and actually the crowd has no taste

so a bad poem is likely to be more popular

can't lose really

except for the time gone

      The Trash Can

this is great, I just wrote two

poems I didn't like.

there is a trash can on this

computer.

I just moved the poems

over

and dropped them into

the trash can.

they're gone forever, no

paper, no sound, no

fury, no placenta

and then

just a clean screen

awaits you.

it's always better

to reject yourself before

the editors do.

especially on a rainy

night like this with

bad music on the radio.

and now--

I know what you're

thinking:

maybe he should have

trashed this

misbegotten one

also.

ha, ha, ha, ha.
