the catcher in the rye  is actually this song/poem which i prefer to the tangled mess of salingers book which is that sort of self indulgent stupidity that americans sooo love


burns suffers from sentimentality too but his writing is an effective expression of autistic dissociation, if lacking an acid edge


i think this poem has an acid edge though


its sorta neutral on something that is usually very judgemental


its a universal poem about human nature and that sort of dissociation is part of being female


that's what some forms of breakdown or deconstruction look like


i think charles bukowski's wife jane was like that
