Female and Male Whiteface tiels have the same appearance as babies; males do not get the whiteface mask until they are about 6 months old as it comes with their first molting. Females however will always keep the grey face and if you notice they do not get the orange ear patches. These birds are absolutely gorgeous birds. I have noticed though that
whiteface tiels tend to be somewhat more nervous birds than other mutations, I feel
this must be something genetic that comes with this particular mutation.
