OK,
it's Mother's Day , and where are the kids?
Don't
they know how much I've done for them over the years?
Not,
a present, a rose, a hug, or a kiss!
No,
No! I'll not start with the tears!
I've
put my life on hold for them,
Worked
my fingers to the bone!
Gave
all my love to them,
Made
our house a home!
Didn't
I kiss every hurt they ever had?
Hold
their hand when they were afraid?
Forgive
them when they were bad?
Put
up every poster they ever made?
Gave
up the things I wanted so badly,
So
they could have only the best?
Why
do they treat me so sadly?
The
reason , I'll never guess!
But,
wait ! There they are!
Not
such brats ,I guess!
Look
at them, their faces like stars,
All
dressed up in their best!
All
the kids are here!
With
presents and flowers, and such!
And
I say with a tear,
"Awe,
I never expected as much!"
HAPPY
MOTHER'S DAY!
