The Dream

I had a dream of you my dear,
I dreamed that you were not near.
You were so very far away,
And I could not find my way.
I stumbled around, I fell to the ground,
I know not where I was bound.
I could not see  where you could be,
I knew not why you were not with me.

With nothing else to do,
I started all a new.
I stood very straight,
To face my destined fate,
What else could I do?
 I no longer had you.
I held my head up high,
Without you, no, I will not die!

And then I felt you hold me tight,
And suddenly there was light!
There you were, beside me,
As plain as day I could see,
All along you were there,
All along you had cared.
All along you were there for me,
waiting for me to find me.
