Plushies and Crafts Made By Me

Here, you can see many of the plushies and crafts I've done so far.  If you like what I have here, you can contact me to commission one for yourself, or order any existing item designated as being available.

Status: Open (but due to personal issues, give at least six weeks' notice before deadlines)

Plushie Commission Form

General information, the "baby" plushies will average 5-6" tall, where the full-sized ones are around 8-9".  They are hand-sewn of felt (unless otherwise requested), stuffed with Poly-fill, and their faces are hand-painted with acrylics.  Any plushies made for sale or commission are signed with my initials and year-dated.  They come from a non-smoking home, but I do have outside cats.
These plushies are meant for display by collectors, not as children's toys.  They are probably not machine washable (I haven't tried, but don't want to risk it), so only carefully surface clean with a damp cloth if necessary.  They may get flattened a bit in the mail, and may require "fluffing up" and/or repositioning to get back into shape.
Prices are based on complexity (elaborate designs take longer and are harder to make) and special materials requests (things like fake fur or metallic fabric, naturally, cost more).  The more and better pictures you can send of your subject, the better, especially if it is an original character.  The average plushie will cost around $15-20, and take from a few days to a couple of weeks to make, depending on how busy I am.
Payments may be done by Paypal, money order, or well-concealed cash (in US dollars only) at your own risk.  Shipping will be estimated by inputting to and from addresses at USPS.com and choosing the method that best suits your cost and time needs.

**I've had problems with people who seem perfectly serious about commissioning big or fancy projects until they find out the price -_- .  If it's more expensive for me to make and/or ship, unfortunately, I have to pass that cost along.  If you are not willing to pay the extra cost for special materials or a larger size, please just order a standard size and materials.**

The Giant Fox Project

This was the project that most tested my sanity, and it taught me a lot about both dealing with people and what I am capable of.  It was an anthropomorphic fox around five feet tall, made of faux fur.  I would rather not do another project this large again, but if you must have one, make extrra-sure we work out all specifications beforehand.  Most of my troubles with this project were due to the commissioner changing his mind midstream.

The small "test" fox  As per his request, this normal-sized version was done as a "test".  I think he was testing whether he liked my work, but I was testing means to get the doll to sit up by herself like he'd wanted.  This was the second head I made for this doll-- the first one really sucked, so I took it off and made a whole new one before shipping it out.
"Test" fox's tail  I didn't really care for how this tail came out, so I used a different approach on the large one.
The full-sized fox sitting  He insisted she be able to sit up by herself with no frame, which is hard to do on something so big!  But if you use her hands and tail to help support her, and push her torso forward a bit so the weight is balanced, it works.  She can even sit with her legs crossed, though I forgot to do that while we were getting the pics.  Would've looked more graceful that way.
Full-sized fox kneeling  Lynn and Jon wanted to know if she could kneel on her own, so we tried, and she can, so yeah. . .
Full-sized head  It's just kinda safety-pinned on, so it looks odd :-P .  The guy decided at one point that he hated how I made heads and told me just to send a headless body. . . but the head was already in progress at the time, so I finished it, anyway (including various remakes and adjustments to parts of the mouth).  I figured I'd just send it along unattached, so if he decides he wants it, he can sew it on.  If not, maybe he can sew up the neck-hole and make a pillow.  *shrugs*
Hand detail  With finger and palm pads  Foot detail  With toe and ball-of-foot pads
The big, fluffy tail  I like the fullness of this better than the skimpy one the little fox had.

New Type Plushies

I've started experimenting with trying to make more dimensional faces, with the chins my original plushies lacked.  I've also experimented with posing a little.  I hope to work even harder and improve myself in both areas soon ^_^ .

Angel babies   I actually made these for Ebay, but they weren't bid for, so they are actually still available.  If you don't like the ones I've made so far, you can easily request another dress colour or facial appearance, as a commission, as well.
Faerie babies   These were also made for, but not bid for, on Ebay, so they are also still available.  Once again, if the ones pictured aren't to your liking, you can commission another dress colour or appearance.
Made for commission   This was made for commission.  I don't know her name, but she was a friend's wife's character in a computer RPG.  Her cape is made of white fabric and has blue stars painted on.  I wanted to use sequin stars for that, but couldn't find any the right size :-( .  Painting the stars was very hard, as I messed up the first time and had to remake the cape to try again :-P .
LaCroix plush   LaCroix of "Forever Knight".  I think he's got a good resemblance!  Since he didn't sell on Ebay, he was donated to a KtK auction, but you can commission one like him (or another FK chara) if you want.
Nick plush   Nick Knight of FK. . . has a good facial resemblance, but due to a flaw in the Nick pattern, his chin is a bit weird.  Any future Nicks I may make will use an entirely new pattern in hopes to avoid that.  Since he didn't sell on Ebay, he was donated to a KtK auction, but you can commission one like him (or another FK chara) if you want.
LaCroix vampire   LaCroix, vamped out and very adorable ^_^ .  This LaCroix has golden eyes and is showing his fangs.  Since he didn't sell on Ebay, he was donated to a KtK auction, but you can commission one like him (or another FK chara) if you want.
Nick vampire   Possibly my most adorable plushie yet-- Nick vamped out ^_^ .  He has golden eyes and is showing his fangs.  Due to a flaw in the Nick pattern, his chin is a bit weird (though less than the other's).  Any future Nicks I may make will use an entirely new pattern in hopes to avoid that.  Since he didn't sell on Ebay, he was donated to a KtK auction, but you can commission one like him (or another FK chara) if you want.
Witch Plushie  Made as a birthday gift, and meant to resemble the recipient..  She has pale skin, blue eyes, and long brown hair (hard to see in the pic, though).  Her costume includes striped tights, a purple corset, and pointy shoes, and she has a "magic wand" ^_^ .
Not Weird Al  This was made from a drawing provided by the purchaser, meant to be a self-portrait, but kinda looks like Weird Al to me ^_^; .  The proportions here are different than my usual plushies, which made things a little harder, but I think I did okay.
Love plushies  These are plushies of the purchaser and her bf.  They're special "love plushies" 'cause little magnets in their hands can make them appear to hold hands, and little magnets in their faces can make them appear to kiss.
Manga Galaxia  This is a Galaxia I made for personal enjoyment.  She's bigger than most-- around Barbie-sized-- and is proportioned more like a fashion doll than a normal plushie.  Her hair is down (and very pillowy!  I love it!) and she's wearing a gown from the manga.  Though I'm mostly quite pleased with the way she turned out, I doubt I'll make any other plushies with quite these proportions because of some troubles involved.

Old Type Plushies

Early attempts-- kawaii enough, but quite flat.  This was before I started working on more dimensional faces.

My First Plushie   My first-ever attempt at plushiness was Ustarda, a friend's character, in a black suit and red shirt.  Her face was painted well enough, just the design and execution was a disaster -_-; .
Another Star   Because the first one sucked so much, I tried to make up for it with this Ustarda in a red star t-shirt.  Well, I was getting a little better, anyway. . .
Abbie and Seiya   Abbie was another of her characters.  I made her in a cute pink sparkly dress with a blue ribbon sash.  Her big, puffy hair is so pillowy!  Later, I made a Seiya (from BSSM) to match, with a pink sparkly shirt, blue pants, and a blue ribbon cummerbund.  She kinda looks like a gay pirate ^_^; , and as a couple, they look like they should be doing pairs' figureskating!  I like these pretty well for old type.
Baby Melody   My first baby plushie!  Melody is Abbie's baby, so of course she's another fanchara.  She's kind of a gothy baby, so I wanted to put her in black, but I also wanted her to match her mom, so I put on pink sparkly accents.  I really like her ^_^ .
Nami-chan   I also did one of my own fancharas, Nami-chan ^_^ .  I put her in a red shirt and overalls in a very denim-like blue.
School Taiki   There were no official school Lights made, so I had to make this school Taiki for myself ^_^ .  She actually has a stuffed, dimensional ponytail, which I found out by experience is a big mistake.  Not only is it hard to turn and stuff the pony, but it makes the shorter part of her hair not lie right.  So all further (and future) Lights (or anyone with the short hair/long pony or braid out the bottom) have just a flat felt pony.  Trust me, it just works out better like that.
Vampire Taiki   An even less official version of her, this one is actually a vampire. . . though the cutesy, ruffly shirt makes her look like a flamenco dancer -_-; .  I made this for someone, but I'd like to make one with a burgundy shirt for myself, and see if that looks less flamenco-ish.

Handmade Jewellery and Other Crafts

8-Ball Beaded Necklace  I have no idea when or why I made this, but I found it lying around and it doesn't suit me, so maybe someone else will like it.  The beads are plastic, and some of them look like 8-balls, strung on black cord of unknown content, around 22" long.  The cord doesn't stretch, so this might better suit a smallish head, unless you wanna untie it to wear, or install a clasp.  $2.
Animal Pins  All these pins are made of Sculpey, and have metal bar-type pinbacks glued to the backs.  I'll probably want to apply clear coating to these before sending them out, but they are pictured without.  $4 ea.
On the top left is a cute monkey with blue eyes and a sweet smile!  Nope, no idea why he gets a mouth and no-one else does, but I like him, anyway.
At the top right is an orange kitty with green eyes and brown spots.  She has a nose but no mouth (ala Hello Kitty), and is probably the pin I like best ^_^ .  SOLD
Second row left is a kinda marshmallow-ish bunny with pink eyes (and that's it).  If the lack of nose or mouth bothers you, I can add to it, but I like her best like this.
Second row right is a cookie-ish brown bear with light-blue eyes (and that's it).  Again, I can add features if desired, but I liked him like this, so I left the rest off.
Bottom row left is a stripey fish that looks kinda like an angelfish of some sort.  He's yellow with black, light-blue, and white stripes, and his eye is a bit darker blue.
Finally, there is a ladybug, who is of course red with black spots, and her eyes are blue.
Beaded Necklaces  All these are made with glass beads strung on waxed cords.  $7 ea.
To the left is a red, white (clear), and brown beaded necklace strung on red waxed cotton cord.  The dangle in the middle floats.  The cord is around 25" long.
Next is a green and white (clear) beaded necklace strung on green waxed cotton cord.  Some of the beads are striped, and I like those very much!  Silly me, I made the cord a bit too short (about 21"), so I had to install a clasp. It's still very pretty, though.
Third is a varying shades of blue necklace on blue waxed cotton cord.  The dangle doesn't float on this one.  Some of the tiny beads are iridescent.  The cord is around 24" long.
The last one is the best (I think, anyway!)-- the middle bead is purple with a painted pastel floral design, and the other beads are pastel to match the florals.  Some of the beads are faceted, and some of the tiny ones are iridescent.  It's strung on a lavender waxed cotton cord about 30" long. SOLD
Beaded Earrings  On the left, it's hard to tell, but the bottom beads are translucent green, topped by translucent pink floral, translucent pink faceted, and a clear bead up top.  The findings are silver-plated, so the package says. $5.
On the right are red charms shaped like spiral shells, and kinda goldtone ear wires (no idea about the metal of those). $4.
Floral Hairclip  This is just a random clip I made.  It's Sculpey on a spring-back hairclip, and painted with some sort of floral and vine design.  It's a smallish clip, so it may not work for thick hair, but it may be a little heavy if your hair is very fine. $3.
Flower Magnets  The one on the lower left is a red rose made of Sculpey.  I'm rather proud of how this came out, as usually I can't do roses!  There is a very small but strong magnet on the back. $3.
The others are far-out retro daisy magnets. . .  kinda Scooby-ish!  They are made of Sculpey with very small but strong magnets on the backs.  They were made to go together, so I'd rather sell them as a set.  $8/set of 3.
Beaded Hairpins  Up top are some tiny hairpins that are well-suited to short and/or fine hair.  The top one is hard to tell, but it's a green dragonfly with a golden body ^_^ .  Below it is a little pink flower.  They're both on metallic-blue hairpins.  $3 ea.
Below are larger hairpins better-suited to longer and/or thicker hair.  The top one is a yellow and blue butterfly on a silver hairpin.  Below that is a white (okay, clear, but yeah. . .) daisy on a blue hairpin. $4 ea.
BSSM Tribute-- Starlights Accessories  First is a pair of Kinmokusei (Osmanthus) flower earrings.  They're made of Sculpey and have silver-plated posts (according to the packaging).  They're so sweet and pretty, I'll probably make some for myself, soon ^_^ !  $6
Below that is a small Starlights pin.  I made several of these out of Sculpey a while back, in varying sizes.  This was the only size I had an "extra" of, but I'll probably make more later.  $6
Macross Tribute-- Insignia Magnets  These are made of Sculpey and have small but strong magnets glued to the backs.  They're a bit bigger than the magnets in the other section.  If you'd like some done with pins on the back instead, let me know and I can do that, too. $4 ea.
On the left, of course, is the insignia of the Zentradi (Zentraedi or T'sentrati for the RT fans ^_^ ).
On the right is the UN Spacy emblem (I forget what they called it in RT, gomen!).
Rainbow Beaded Necklaces  Not much to say about these.  They're just plastic rainbow beads strung on ball-chains, but I love them, anyway.  I made one for myself long ago, and wear it often, 'cause it's so adorable ^_^ .  The shorter one is about 17", and the longer one about 22 1/2".  $3 ea.
Beaded Rings  At the upper left, not nearly as flat as it looks in the scan, is the most elaborate ring I've got up for sale.  It's a green band with a blue flower at the top, complete with leaf.  It's probably about a 6 1/2-7 US ring size.  $5 ('cause it was more involved to make than the others, of course).
The band-style rings are all $3 ea.
First is a primary band with two little metal flower beads.  It's probably about a 6-6 1/2 US ring size.
Here starts my "food" ring obsession ^_^ .
The next ring is (upper middle) is my "Pastel Mints" ring, made of various random iridescent pastel beads.  It's probably a 7 1/2-8 US ring size.
Below that is the "Minty Fresh" ring, made of iridescent white and pastel green beads.  It's probably an 8-8 1/2 US ring size.
Next is my "Dreamsicle" ring, made of iridescent white and orange beads.  It's probably a 7 1/2-8 US ring size.
At the upper right is my "Starlight Mint" ring, made of translucent red and white (clear) beads.  It's probably a 5 1/2-6 US ring size.  Below that is my "Firecracker Pop" ring, made of translucent red, white (clear), and blue beads.  It's probably a 6-6 1/2 US ring size.  Lastly, we have the "Lifesavers" ring, made of translucent red, orange, yellow, green, and white (clear) beads.  It's probably an 8-8 1/2 US ring size.
Slight disclaimer, all ring size guesses based on trying the rings on my own fingers and estimating based on how they fit.  If you're worried one might not fit you, ask for inside diameter to make sure.
Sculpey Necklaces  These were made of Sculpey, and though they are pictured without clear coating, I will probably apply some before sending them out.
The two on the left are Big Sister/Little Sister kanji necklaces, so they will only be sold as a pair.  They are made of Sculpey and hang on black waxed linen cords about 26" long.  $12/pair.
On the right is a big purple ankh (good ironic accessory ^_^ ) made of Sculpey, which hangs on black waxed linen cord about 26" long.  $6.
BSSM Tribute-- Outer Senshi Beaded Hairpins  First, there's a red Pluto symbol on a silver hairpin.  This is best for longer and/or thicker hair.  $4
Below that, a green Neptune symbol on a metallic blue hairpin.  It doesn't look it, but the pin is the same size as the Puu one.  This also best suits longer and/or thicker hair.  $4
Of course, the gold Uranus symbol is on a small metallic blue pin to better suit short and/or fine hair.  I'm so gonna make one of these for myself-- it's adorable!  $3
BSSM Tribute-- Outer Senshi Symbol Necklaces  These are all made of Sculpey.
The blue Uranus symbol on the left is on a black cord of unidentified material, about 26" long.  (I have one of these in gold, and I love it ^_^ !)  $5
The green Neptune symbol is strung on blue waxed linen cord ('cause the hole was small and that's what fit through).  I thought it looked too cactuslike, so I decorated the cord with blue, green, and white (clear) beads to make it a prettier necklace.  The cord is about 34" long.  $5.50 ('cause of the beads)
The Pluto symbol is magenta and strung on black cord of unidentified material, around 27" long.  $5
BSSM Tribute-- Outer Senshi Talisman Necklaces  These are made of Sculpey, and the "metallic" paint looks a bit more pearlescent to me, but I think they turned out well overall.  $7 ea.
The Garnet Orb (left) is made flat at the back to lie on your chest right.  It's strung on red waxed cotton cord and has red, black, and white (clear) beads.  The black ones are plastic, but the others are glass.  *shrugs*  It looks nice, anyway.  The cord is about 28" long.
The Space Sword (middle) is similar to one I made for myself (and have been complimented on ^_^ ).  It's on a blue waxed cotton cord about 26" long, and the beads match the "jewels" on the scabbard.
The Aqua Mirror (right) is the only one that's sorta-semi double-sided.  I thought it was silly to have a mirror with no "mirror" on back, so it's silvery there, though without the human figures.  It's on a green waxed cotton cord about 28" long and decorated with blue and green beads.
