Fel woke up at almost noon. She was hungry and full of energy. She got bathed and dressed up to look for Gourry. On her way down the hall she wondered where could Xelloss have gone. 'Maybe he went to his own room or something. He didn't have to stay taking care of me anyways.' She smiles. [You really think I'm pretty?] He smiles. [Yes you are.] [More than Lina Inverse?] [It could be said.] She frowned. 'Lina Inverse...what did she mean to him? And to the others? Like Gourry.'---'Arghh...Why am I worrying about what she meant to them?! She is dead and I am...' She stopped and looked down at the small flower garden that belonged to this wing of the castle's chambers. She saw a girl, not tall nor small, with wild, red-fire hair and in a red, yellow and black outfit. She was sitting on the fountain's border looking directly at her. The girl smiled at her, brought to fingers to her forehead in salute, and vanished. 'I must be getting sick again.' --<--@ --<--@ 'She is fine.' Shiana thought to herself and sighed. She laid over many red, white and black silk sheets, eyes closed. Only a gold light glowed softly, the rest was darkness. Her cloak had been carelessly thrown at one side of the bed. Her black boots somewhere in two different places. She laid on her stomach hugging a pair of pillows. She had changed her red sleeveless blouse with black buttons and black mini skirt for a light blue gown, greek style. 'Here I go again.' She turned upside revealing the hole in her chest and Xellass Metallium's red gem. "Beating like a human heart. Glowing as a dragons' stolen gold. Evil as chaos." The gem started glowing and Shi shriked in pain. "Lay on me. Feed on me. For I claim to be your resurector." The gem began burning, Shi screamed and holded tightly to the blankets. "Lo-Lord o-of the five--" She passed out and the gem slowly resumed it's glow. --<--@ --<--@ "What?!" Amelia screeched. "Shiana is gone?!" "Y-yes." Fel backed up in fear. "Why she left?" Gourry was the only who was peaceful. "I have no idea." Fel shrugged. "She has been like that for the last year. Coming and leaving whenever she wishes." Her voice dropped to a sad tone. "Never telling were or why." Amelia sighed and sat back on her chair. They were having breakfast when Fel had given them the news. "Sounds like Xelloss. Remember Gourry?" "By the way, where is Xelloss? He isn't coming to have lunch?" Fel drank down her orange juice. "Lunch?" Amelia wondered, "Gourry, you didn't tell her?" "Tell me what?" Fel asked. "Didn't think it was necessary." Gourry shrugged and attacked his second meal. "What?" Fel insisted. "Gourry, sometimes you are too irresponsible." Amelia scolded. "Hello??" Fel waved to them to make them see she was still there. "I thought he would be gone as soon as we were in Sailune. Then I didn't see Fel till last night when she was asleep in the living room." Gourry stopped eating to defend himself. "You should have told her since he appeared!" Amelia kept complaining. "I was fighting when he appeared." Gourry insisted. "You couldn't have fought six complete days without rest!" Amelia screeched. "I-I-I...Well I forgot to tell her!" Gourry confesed. "You must always say the truth Gourry my friend. Specially when it comes to someone like Xel-" "Hey! My food!!!" Gourry cried out looking at the empty dishes. Amelia looked down at her's which were empty too. They both looked at Fel. She was smiling and cleaning her teeth with a toothpick. She smiled. "So what was that that Gourry forgot to tell me, which looks important, but he didn't thought so, so he passed it away, and now that you scold him he confeses the truth, Princess Ameria?" Amelia sighed. She called the maid and ordered five more meal. Then turned back to Fel. "You're just like Lina. We couldn't look away while eating, cause if we did, she would eat all that was on the table. We should have guessed that you could do the same." "I beg you not to compare your majesty." Fel said kind of disgusted and ashamed. "What was this I had to be warned about?" "Xelloss is a mazoku." Gourry answered. "So don't expect him to come for breakfast. We've know him for almost five years now and he has never ate actually, infront of us." Amelia finished. "Why not?" Xellos appeared infront of them, sitting at the table with a mug on hand. At his side, Zeta, his wolf pet. "You really are a mazoku?!" Fel demanded, "Yes." Xelloss smiled as always. "But that doesn't mean I don't eat breakfast. I just don't eat the same as you and I eat during the dawm preferably." "Sugoi..." Fel sat back. "First time I meet a mazoku." "Sugoi?" Gourry was surprised. "You aren't scared or something? You know the tales about mazoku ne?" "I do, but that isn't important to me." Fel smiled. "What is that?!" Amelia pointed at the wolf sitting aside Xelloss. "Oh! Him." Xelloss ruffled Zeta's thick fur. "He is Zeta, my pet." "Nice dog." Gourry looked down at the wolf and attacked his warm breakfast. "Why you brought it here?! Don't you see this is a dinning room? In my castle?! How you dared to bring a wolf here?!?!?!" Amelia shouted. "But he is a nice wolf." Xelloss poutet cutely. "I don't care!" Amelia yelled. "Get him out! Out!" "Zeta, go." Xelloss ordered and the wolf vanished. "Where did he go?" Fel leaned over to watch the empty space at Xeloss' side. "Oh, to a parallel astral plane." Xelloss answered as if this was an everyday scene for the others. Actually, Gourry and Amelia had seen him come and go frequently, but never knew where he went. "Why you brought the wolf?" Fel asked. "We are homeless." Xelloss sipped the hot liquid from his mug. "Homeless?" Amelia repeated. "Yes." Xelloss smiled. "Why is that so?" Fel inquired. Xelloss placed the mug on the table and opened his eyes. His eyes shadowed by some sort of feeling that not even him could understand. "My master, Xellass Metallium, is dead and with her, the magic that mantained Wolf Pact Island existing." He looked up at the atonishment faces Amelia and Gourry had and he closed his eyes again to bring out that smiling face cover on his pain. "That's why we are homeless!" He took the mug and finished it's contents and then dissapeared it. "Who did it?" Fel was curious. "I have no idea!" Xelloss laughed. He caught then Amelia's worried face. "Don't worry Amelia-san. Hopefully, this will have nothing to do with you or your friends." "I sincerely hope you are right Xelloss. Last time we knew something of a Dark Lord, with you involved, we got involved too, and died." Amelia clenched her fists. "And she died too." Gourry glared at Xelloss like if an old wound had just opened. Xelloss glared back. ::Did he have to say it?:: "I was there. I saw her die step by step and couldn't do a thing. You don't have to rub it!" "Maybe you didn't want to do anything to save her." Gourry insisted. Xelloss felt rage welling up in him, but tried to keep his smile pasted to his face. ::Didn't want to?! Idiot! I can't do anything against a Giga Slave! I would have done what it was required if there existed any possibility of helping. I-I... needed her.:: He tried to calm down. ::None of you would ever understand.:: He stood up and grinned evily. "I don't remember you making great thing either. In fact, you were the first to die, remember? I was more help, than you. And Amelia can testify to that. Have a nice day." Fel stood up, "Wait Xel-" He vanished. She looked at Gourry and Amelia's long faces and decided she didn't want to be around for sometime. Maybe if she was alone, Xelloss would come to her. She wanted to know more about her sister's death. "I'll see you later. Bye." She walked out of the room leaving the two adults with their old memories. --<--@ --<--@ Xelloss watched Fel while she walked through the royal gardens and into the small laberinth. Zeta sat at his feet and watched her too. He made a sort of growl and Xelloss giggled. "You prefer ol' Lina?" Zeta jumped to Xelloss' lap and licked his face all over not letting him look at Fel. "Ok, ok. Get off." The wolf obeyed. "Don't worry. I don't like her. She is too childish and inmature." Zeta looked up as if understanding his master's words. Xel smirked. "I know! Lina-chan is-was inmature too, but not childish. She didn't depend on any of us to do what she wanted. While her little sister depends on Shiana." Xelloss laughed as Fel tried to find her way out of the laberinth. "But she is awfully cute." He vanished and reappered infront of Fel. "IIIIAAAII!" Fel jumped back and felled on her butt. "Xelloss! Don't do that again!" "Scared you? I'm sorry." He offered his hand to help her up. She accepted. "Was looking for you." Fel was direct. "For me?" Xel looked surpriesed. "What makes you think I would be here?" "Not here exactly. I was just wanting to meet you. Need to ask you some questions about Lina." Fel looked up. "But first could you take me out of this place?" Xelloss laughed and grabbed her hand then teletransported to his astral plane. "Is it fine here?" "Where are we?" Fel looked around. There was a nice red couch were Zeta was sitting and a small table. "It's my dimensional pocket." He went to sit down and shooed Zeta from the couch. "Please sit down." Fel sat down at the other side of the couch, away from Xel and Zeta. "It's a confortable place." "Yes. My home for now. Need no more." Xelloss smiled. "Do you have idea of who killed your master?" "NO." Xelloss turned serious for a second, but changed face quickly, to his smile of course. "So what did you wanted to ask me?" "I want to know what the name Lina Inverse implies. Every single detail." "All?" "Yeah." Fel grinned. "I want to know all her story, and what she means to Gourry, Amelia, Sailune," She hesitated."...and you." Xelloss laughed. "This will be a long day." --<--@ --<--@ There was a knock on Amelia's studio door. "Come in." She called without looking up from her papers. The door opened slowly and a man with dark brown hair, dressing a beige outfit walked in, a little bit of doubt in his face. He took a deep breath and decided to speak up. "Amelia." Amelia froze for a second. She knew that voice. It would always be recorded in her mind. Inmediately the image of a blue chimera crossed her mind and she looked up to face the newcomer. "Zel-" Her jaw dropped. "Zel-Zelgadis?!" The man half smiled. "How have you been Amelia?" --<--@ --<--@
