I've never been fond to conventions, but I've been forced to assit to one. Wonder if Lina Inverse would stand this. My name is Felina Inverse, and this is my story. --<--@ --<--@ We traveled for the next four days without Xelloss. Not that Amelia and Zelgadis had finally found the way to keep him away,-or did they? Anyways, Xelloss hasn't appeared since the last fight he had with them. My questions have not been answered yet. I'd like he appeared, not only to have my thoughts clear. I feel fine when Xelloss is around although he really scared me the last night I saw him. Amelia said I hadn't seen at least a fourth part of who he really is. Not even them have seen his complete diabolic self. I miss talking with him. He is really nice for being a mazoku. I wonder if mazoku are able to have any feeling toward someone else. Maybe Amelia is wrong, maybe not. Who knows! But I can't stay with this doubts. "Fel?" Gourry whispered. "Fel!" Fel came out of her world. "Huh? Oh! Gourry. What is it?" "I noticed that you are bored. Mind to come with me?" Gourry smiled, "I sincerely hate this conventions." "Umm..yeah! Why not?" Fel stood up of her seat and followed Gourry out of the principal hall. They walked out of the A.S.O.(Anonymous Sorceress Organization) building. "Want to go eat something? It's past noon and you haven't eaten anything since this morning." "Yes. That's a good idea." Fel smiled. "I know a good restaurant. Lina and I used to go there everytime we were here." Gourry leaded the way. ::This is my oportunity!:: "Gourry?" Fel asked in a low voice. Kind of uncertain of doing this but she wasn't going to back away. "Yes?" He smiled sweetly. "I'd like to ask you something, about Lina." Fel looked at his blue eyes trying to find any hint of rejection to her petition. "Yeah. What is it?" Gourry kept smiling. "I want to know what Lina meant to you." Fel stated. Gourry stopped infront of a log house. "Ahhh...Here we are. Let's go in!" He opened the door and allowed Fel go in first. They sat on a table and made their orders. They were waiting now. "Gourry?" "Yes?" "Will you answer me?" "What?" Fel sighed. ::Is he so dumb?:: "What did my sister meant to you?" Gourry sighed and looked at his hands. For a moment Fel wished she hadn't insisted. Then he looked up and smiled. "Lina was everything to me. I traveled with her for three years. We shared many beautiful moments and some terrible ones in which we risked all we had." "You loved her?" Fel was direct. Enough of rambling. "Yes." Gourry answered minutes later. Sadness and longing in his voice. "But I know she didn't feel the same for me." "Really? Why you say so?" Fel tried to hide her interest on this subject. "I was always at her side. I was her sidekick, a traveling companion, a good friend which she could trust at any time. No more. I never expected her to love me. Lina Inverse was afraid of any feelings that had to do with love." Gourry explained his point of view. "It's sad. Maybe she died without loving anyone." "Yes. It's sad." Fel lowered her head and looked away. ::This narrows everything to Xelloss. If there wasn't any relationship beyond quest companions, then it would be sad,-my sister never loved and died. But if there was something beween them...:: Fel sighed. ::L-sama help me please. I'm human, and he is mazoku. I don't want any dark lord following me everywhere to anhilate me.:: --<--@ --<--@ Later that night, the group was reunited at the inn's restaurant having a peaceful dinner until their nightmare, except Fel's, appeared. He wasn't the same smiling ol' mazoku. Instead he was serious, deadly serious. "Tomorrow to Sailarg ne?" He looked at Zelgadis. The half chimera just nodded. "Fine. Gourry, Amelia, Fel you don't have to come if you don't want to. Good Night." He turned to leave. "Wait Xelloss!" Fel called and he faced her. "I need to talk with you." "If it's about Lina-chan, I've told you all I can tell. It depends on you what you believe. Good night." He turned and walked away leaving Fel completly surprised. He had never been so cold and cutting with her. She excused herself and wished everyone a good night. In response she got two sweet smiles from Gourry and Amelia, and nothing from Zelgadis. She went up stairs and locked in her bedroom. It was dark but decided against lighting a candle. She took off her boots and her cloak, throwing them to some corner. Then laid on the bed looking at the ceiling. "What did you want to ask me?" Xelloss' voice. She jumped and looked for him. Then a candle was lighted, Xelloss holding it. "You like to scare the hell out of me right?" "It's always good to see an Inverse get scared of the most simple things." He grinned. "An Inverse? Always?" Fel looked suspiciously at him. "That means that you scared Lina the same way?" "Sometimes." Xelloss answered carelessly. "So what was it?" "I want to know if you had any kind of relationship with Lina." Fel looked at him. His lips turn to a smile. "Yes? No?" "Sore-" he started but Fel placed her fingers on his lips and said seriously, "Nothing of that secret thing." ::Hold on to dear life Fel, if he says he did have something with her.:: "Does this have to do anything with what Zelgadis and Amelia told you?" Xelloss was serious. "You heard what they told me?" "Yes." "Yes, it has to do with it." Fel looked down. "You said mazoku are loyal to their superiors. Did that imply you being loyal to Dalphin when he gave you the option of killing her and surviving, or dieing with her?" "It had to do, but I choosed Lina's life over mine. After all, my master would have revived me if Dalphin killed me. I didn't loose anything, but Lina did." Xelloss half smiled. "Anything else?" "Did you love my sister?" Fel stopped breathing. ::Say no! Say no please!:: Xelloss' smile widened. "Why you ask?" Fel tried to stay calm. ::Do I tell him or no?:: [When you like someone, just say it.] Shiana threw two rocks into the lake. [If you don't do it, you'll regret it later. Time is gold when you want to spend it with someone special.] She could feel her face blushing. ::It's now or never.:: "Well...I-" She stopped and looked down at her hands. Her knuckles were turning white of the pressure she was giving to her fingers. "Ijustwanttoknowhowyoufeltaboutmy sistercauseIlikeyou." Xelloss giggled. "Excuse me? I didn't understand what you said." Fel sighed. "I just want to know what you felt or feel for Lina." She kept looking down. Xelloss took her hands and separated them. Then gave her fingers and knucles a short massage. "She was special to me." He finally answered with a sad smile. "Good night Fel-chan." He dissapeared. "Special..." Fel mumbled. She caressed her hands and smiled sadly. "Amelia and Zelgadis were wrong." --<--@ --<--@ Shiana walked through the temple's hallway. Her boots made the only sound in the building. She carried her black cloak hanging on one arm. She reached to a pair of huge rock doors with horrible creatures carved on it. Instead of opening she walked through it. "Jyanesu?" She called to the dark room. "Here!" Jyanesu's voice was faint. Shi walked more into the room and crossed some corners. Finally she saw a dim light at the end and walked toward it. There she found Jyanesu sitting on a white fur sofa infront of a mirror. She turned to smile at her visit. "Hey! You look better! Come and sit down." Shiana did as she was asked. She threw her cloak on the sofa's back and sat down. "Nice clothes." Jyanesu looked at Shi's black pants and gray, long sleeved, blouse. Both tight on her body. "It's the least I deserve after all I've done." Shi smirked. "I see that they keep fighting." Shi looked at one corner where the five rubies glowed with intense fires. "Always." Jyanesu grinned. "But we have something more interesting here." She pointed at the mirror. "Your darling is going to Sailarg. He'll find out everything." Shi crossed her arms under her breasts. "Didn't know someone else besides us knew about this." Jyanesu sighed. "You know how this things are. There is always someone who writes things down." "Yeah. Rezo?" Shi asked. "Yes." "How he got that idea?" "The chimera mentioned it." "Were are they going exactly?" "To the Hoolagun. A secret library/lab under it." Jyanesu looked at her comarade. "What we'll do now?" "We are going to play just a little." Shi stood up and grabbed her cloak. "We?" Jyanesu was surprised. "You mean, us going to the other world?!" "Yes, but first change those robes. I'm not going anywhere with you while you are in that." Jyanesu looked down at her black robe with blue strings. "What's wrong with it?" "It's weird." Shi grinned. --<--@ --<--@ Amelia, Zelgadis and Gourry walked infront of us. Xelloss was quiet, thoughtful all the day. I didn't dare to disturb him. I didn't have anything else to ask him, so I had ran out of topics. "Can you hear that?" Zelgadis stopped walking. Gourry, Amelia and Fel paid attention. "Yes!" Gourry looked at the forest. "Those are woman's screams." "Let's go see what we can do." Amelia suggested. They all ran into the forest, except Xelloss who just vanished. When they arrived, they found a group of eight golems surrounding a woman. Fel looked up and found Xel sitting on a tree's branch. Gourry, Zelgadis, and Amelia didn't think it twice and attacked the monsters. One of the golems grabbed the woman and ran away. Gourry followed it into the forest. The golem got tired of running and threw the woman to some bushes. Gourry defeated it with the sword of light. Then he turned to look for the woman who was laying unconcious behind the bushes. Gourry was impressed by her beauty, -long, black, curly hair, nacar skin and lips like rose buds. He was captured by her shiny aura, or that's what Gourry saw around her. He took her into his arms and carried her back to where he had left the others.
