LIFE IN BLACK AND WHITE

You could hardly see from all the snow,
Spread the rabbit ears as far as they go.
Pull up a chair up to the TV set,
"Good Night, David, Good Night, Chet."
In God they trusted; Alone they slept,
A promise made was a promise kept;
They never cussed or broke their vows,
Nothing like they are doing now.
I wanna go back to black and white,
Everything always turned out right;
Now nothing is the way it seems,
Broken hearts, shattered dreams.

I wish I may, I wish I might,
Turn back the clock, if just for tonight.
To when we knew wrong from right,
Life looked better in black and white.
If I could, I'd rather be,
Back in my home town in '53.
It felt so good, It felt so right,
Life was just better in black and white.
