Merchandise
This is a more of a "Where to get DBZ stuff in UK" section actually. So, you want to blow your newly earnt pay cheque? Ah ha! You should try these places...
Shops to go to...
Well, it used to recommend specific shops here... but seeing as most have stopped stocking DBZ stuff I removed them. Probably due to lack of sales... but if the stupid idiots would realise that MAYBE we would like a new set of figures to but now... instead of the same four figures it's been since the beginning of time... oh well.
You should also check out film and TV merchandise stores and shops that specialise in trading cards.
Also I managed to find some Dragonball and Dragonball Z manga in a book shop. So have a look. But the Dragonball manga was censored, convientently placed clouds. Although it seemed to be only censored of nudity, all the violence was there. So check before you buy, from the looks of things it was only the first three or so volumes that were censored.
Mail Order places.
The places I recommend are:
MVM UK - These guys stock alot of anime stuff, they have all sorts like action figures that the shops don't have. Go take a look around the website.
Otaku UK - I recommend these guys if you are interested in getting Dragonball Z movies and videos because they can import them from America. Of course you will have to have a video and TV that can play American tapes and a SCART lead too, if you're not sure if your TV and video can then go through the video manual and see if your video has NTSC playback and whether or not you TV has a SCART socket. Don't forget you need to get a SCART lead too! The site doesn't have all their American tapes and DVDs listed on the site, but if you email them and ask them they should be able to get them. Although you may have to wait a while for them to ship the tape and it'll cost you an extra £2 for the shipping on top of the £14.95 for the video. I think the subtitled movies cost more and the DVDs cost more too. I think it's worth it though because it's probably going to be a long time until we see any videos or movies over here.
Ebay - I highly recommend this place. It's online auctions and is a great place to pick up uncut movies, episodes, cels and various merchandise. Most countries have their own ebay site.
DC-DVD - I only came across this place recently, it's a UK based site that deals in Multi Region DVD Players and DVDs from Regions 1, 2, 4 and also 0. Just type in "Dragon Ball Z" in the search and you'll see that they seem to have every DBZ DVD available. ^_^
Amazon - What can I say... It's Amazon! They have a ton of good shit!
Here is somewhere to not bother going - The DBZ online store. They have a shit load of stuff, but there is one problem, they are not allowed to ship to anywhere except for America, Canada or Australia. So don't bother going if you don't live in those areas or know someone who does and would post it on to you. That sucks because they have some really cool T-Shirts, and a Nappa action figure. This pissed off Nappa quite alot...hehehehehe.
