The anime

The animated version of Videogirl Ai was realized from the first 3 volumes of the original manga in the format of 6 Ova of 30 minuts each. Those were released in 1992 by JVC. Later there was a laser disc edition, 3 Ld´s one hour each.

Right now Viz Video releases the 6 ova in DvD.

Sorry pal, i couldn´t resist, your image is great, this exactly represents what the anime of Vgai is about.

Even when technicaly the Ovas aren´t bad, you can see that the manga is better. The music that appears in the Ovas is perfect, just right for each scene, even when it´s not that good, you should see them.

The ovas have some "Bonus Theater" whit Videogirl Ai characters doing very funny stuff. It also includes an interview made to Masakazu Katsura and to Noriko Sakai.
