The Saga Continues : Rock-Punk-Folk (??)

What a disappointment! Actually, it was only eight bands shot, a trip to see Handsome Boy Modelling School (too dark to shoot), plus the Marilyn Manson keynote speech, which was far more amusing than I ever would have hoped it could be. The man is terribly clever. The bands that evening ranged from (see title). It's pretty cool to think how many different types of music are being produced in our little town. The unforgiving dirty rawk produced by Flash Bastard and John Ford gave way to the peppy folk of Zubot + Dawson and the mellow acoustic-type balladry of Sean MacDonald and Adrienne Pierce. The big show of NMW was the Commodore's punk-fest with the Weakerthans and Lowest of the Low. Everywhere I went was crowded. If you have any comments or questions, don't hesitate to email me : |
