I fell in love with Vernon Payne's Knight Twister when I first saw the plans for a control line model of it in a magazine when I was a kid. The plans for the full size airplane became available in the late '50s and a friend and I started this one in 1961. |

In four years of hard work
we completed the airplane. I made the first flight in May, 1964.

The panel was
strictly basic with the addition of CHT and accelerometer.
