This month's Virgin Mary is a photograph taken at Chimayo, New Mexico, a church along the "high road to Taos". Chimayo is the site of a vision of the Virgin Mary, and mud taken from the site of the vision is reputed to have healing properties. In the upper right one can see crutches left behind by the healed - these crutches line the room in which this virgin resides.
