Norton Lions Soccer School is a group of Teams comprising of players from year one to year five in and around the Sutton Coldfield area.
Noel Smyth, a qualified FA coach of many years experience, runs the whole show based mainly at Whitehouse Common School off Cotysmore Close, Sutton Coldfield and with the new season starting he's involved with Aston Villa Youth,
The Mini Soccer League for years 1-3,
year 3,4 and year 5 teams in sunday leagues.
Some willing parents were recruited as managers to help with the formation of the Mini soccer league at Christmas 2003 and it continues to grow from strength to strength.
Mostly consisting of Reception, year 1,2 and year 3 boys and girls
from Sutton schools they recieve coaching and participate in regular games every saturday throughout the year.
Unlike most schemes or leagues it is played all year round with four 'seasons' and has grown to six teams of ten players with their own team strip and a manager.
There is enormous support from the parents also and regular issues of trophies for attendance and achievement.
As they grow in size and experience and meet the age requirement they can move up to year 3,4 and 5 competition, registering with the norton lions football club.
