You have made your way to the Home Page of BMC. Here can be found any information about the site as a whole that I feel any ol' web surfer (maybe even recurring visitors!) might want to check out. Credit must be given to my CSC-115 professor, Mr. Harden, without whom I probably never woulda pushed myself to learn webdesign (mostly to make my web pages less embarrassing than those he had us make). Site born on 03/05/02.

12/03/02:Status Report:I'd say it is rather obvious to anyone waltzing through here that the site has not been updated in quite a long time. In the last several months I have done what sums up to zero work on the site. While this is disappointing to even myself, I am pleased to report that my overall knowledge of graphic arts, web page design, and use of various web languages and tools has enhanced substantially. I have been doing a lot of work learning how to implement JavaScript, Flash, as well as basic Frames and other design mechanisms. Most of this has come in practice of maintain my MechWarrior 4 clan (Black Dragon Elite) web page, of which I have assumed the station of primary WebMaster.
I have decided, after my expansion of webpage horizons, that in order to take full advantage of my new knowledge I will have to create a new webpage dedicated to what would have been my Personal section here. I have found that it is easiest to start from scratch when you actually are starting from scratch. To add further sections to this site would cause me to be influenced by what already exists here, thereby limiting my ability to envision originality. I will be maintaining the Games portion of the site, mostly to add Reviews for games as I purchase them, and to keep the MechWarrior section on the fringes of updatement. More on the status of the MW4 section can be found there.
07/20/02:Nexus Active:It's finished. Even though it serves no purpose to the average person that might be viewing this site, at least The Nexus is available to me so that I can have all my important links handy regardless of what computer I go to.
I'm not sure if I mentioned it earlier, but all minor updates to the site are being posted on the text scroller at the top of the page. Only significant additions to the site will be posted in detail here.
05/19/02:Site Cosmetic Breakthrough!:[BDM] Kovey just now enlightened me with the knowledge that Tripod allows us to change what type of advertising we employ. I have changed the ads from Banners to Pop Ups, making the site have a cleaner look. I highly advise all web surfers to download some free software available at the Analog X website that helps you manage your online session. I highly recommend the programs POW! and CookieWall, these programs will let you make specified pop ups automatically close and specify what cookies to keep on your system, respectively. I have put a link to Analog X on the side bar.
05/17/02:Progress Update:I haven't done much work with the site since my last posting here, but now that finals and the semester are over I will have ample time to update the site. I will be writing a full in depth review of Dungeon Siege and will be finishing off my analysis of the game types of Mech Warrior 4 as well as adding some of the many new heat configs I have made.
Also, I have been picking up on a little JavaScript and might get around to doing a full renovation of the site implementing a lot of Java. Most likely I won't start converting the current stuff for quite some time but the Personal/Family section I am developing will start with all the goodies. I intend to eventually replace this Homepage with the Nexus page with easy direction to all the sections.
04/08/02:Progress Update:The MechWarrior site at half completion is posted, StarCraft is finished (mostly), and I decided to go ahead and post what little of a Dungeon Siege page I have. I have added to this page and the MW4 page (the two pages most updated) text scrollers that will display any news I care to share.
03/24/02:Progress Update:I have posted the StarCraft site in its near completion and the majority of files are ready for download. I have many of the MW4 pages completed but none of them are posted yet. As I am working on it, I keep thinking of more things to add so its taking longer than it should.
You may note that there are several broken links throughout the site. This is because I am lazy and really don't want to have to go back and add links to every page when I finish the pages they go too, its much easier for me to just have the link there already.
03/09/02:Site development:I'm in the process of learning how to do this whole web page thing so it will be a slow progression for me to get all the various sections up and running. For now, I intend to have three major sections of the site:
1. The Games page where I will post any sorts of stuff related to gaming and the gaming community, as well as having my own sections dedicated to games I feel I have contributed something to (read: maps/mods/variants).
2. The Nexus which will be the site I use as a portal to the internet, containing a unique (is anything really unique these days?) layout with links to popular and useful websites in addition to sites I visit regularly.
3. The all-important Personal section with crap about me on it including photo album and all that jazz.
Yes, these are in order of how I have prioritized them. Please note that any ugly pages you come across are from the original posting of this website, straight from my Comp Sci class. Eventually, I will redo all of those pages and dispose of them properly.
