Opened in 1989, specialising in quality-driven, all malt natural
beers. The first brewery in the world to greet the sun each day.
Gisborne Gold - Pilsener lager. Well hopped with good malt
flavour, dry lingering finish.
Gisborne Bitter - Draught ale. Easy drinking, with soft
hop and malt style. Well balanced.
Sundowner - Dark ale. Rich roasted malt flavours with easy
finish.
Moonshiner - Strong lager. Pale gold with fruity notes.
Long hop finish.
Black Magic - Stout. Chocolate and coffee notes, with praline
finish. Clean and well balanced.
Brewhouse is unique, custom-built, with external wort boiler. The
water is actually custom-made (minerally) to each style of beer. Brewer

Won Supreme Champion, 1996 with Gisborne Gold. Runner-Up
Supreme Champion, 1997 with Black Magic. Numerous other awards since
