Hello, and welcome to the Unofficial Odyssey Website. This site is the result of a project and many hours of hard work. This site gives a thorough summary of The Odyssey and provides essential information to understanding it and the characters in it as well. We, as the website developers, encourage you to explore this site, even if you have not read the book. The sections of this website are as follows:
A brief summary of each individual book in The Odyssey. This part talks about some significant
characters and events. It also provides an essential summarization of the book. If you
do not know much about The Odyssey, you should probably read these summaries.
A brief summary of Odysseus' entire journey home from Troy (Books 5-13). It will describe some
obstacles he faced and the numerous events that happened to him that are full of both pain and joy. Even
if you have not read The Odyssey, you can still follow what goes on and happens in it.
This page talks about the various monsters Odysseus faced in the book and what possible significance they
might have in our lives. Most of the monsters stand for a real problem or obstacle that each of us can probably relate
to. Since you will probably be able to relate to the monsters, this section will help you understand the monsters better.
