                    Reflection of who i am

In a hidden place, I look to see
Who is this person, the one I call me
I see a child who romps and who plays
I see a woman, who's now turning gray
I see a mother with a child of her own.
I see a wife who now stands alone
I see a woman who once gave her heart
She gently holds it, all broken apart.
I see a face filled with hopes of new Love
Belief in the future and pray to the gods
To find someone with whom my life I can
                             share
My hopes and my dreams, my laughter and
                             cares
As time passes on, I see the child who still
                             plays
As I wait for the one to share the rest of my
                             days
I've looked inside to see who I am
I am child, I am woman, I am all that I am...

WHISPERS
Whispers behind her back,
Whispers just above a whisper.

Not loud enough for all to hear,

But loud enough for her to hear...

"heart of stone", she hears
Carried on the soft winds.

The words wound, they hurt.

The words cause tears to start.

Her heart whispers, "not always

did we have a heart of stone."
She smiles a secret smile.

Remembering different whispers.

They were together, they were apart.

She dries her tears.
Now she whispers

"yes, a heart of stone...

Never to be broken again..."
