Spring Hill Baptist Church

The Spring Hill Baptist Church was organized as the Antioch Baptist Church by Mr. Bush Davis and John Chappe is not known, nor are the pastors before l in 1840, with support from local Baptist and Methodist Churches in the Shinbone Valley Community. The pastor in 1840 is not known, nor are the pastors before 1905.  The first recorded Deacons were Jordan Craig, Andy Jenkins, and Rollin Smedley. 

Rev. Willie Boyd had the church moved to its present location. It is said that Mr. Table Toland, Frank Pinkard, and Lewis Smedley dug the church well. Rev Clinert Ray Staples Sr. poured the cement slab that presently covers the well.

At a meeting held on May 20m 1914, a motion was made and seconded and unanimously passed and adopted by the membership of the church to become incorporated.
