2004-2007 Updates

Tuesday, April 24, 2007 ---- Well, here I am in the middle of nowhere: southern Kansas.  Tornado watches and stray animals galore.  There's a Pizza Hut and a Wal-Mart here, though, so at least it's civilized. *laughs* Anyway, in spite of several computer problems (such as needing to replace our DSL modem on one computer and waiting to replace the power supply on another one), I'll be able to update again soon.  My primary goal now is to go through all the chapters of *What* Insertion? that I've written and make HTML pages for them, then post the whole kit-and-kaboodle.  This website and Mediaminer.Org will be the primary places you'll be able to read the story, since Fanfiction.Net is more or less on the fritz as far as I'm concerned.  Also, I'm hoping that---like I've said before---that I'll be able to adjust the website's HTML and move most, if not all, of the images elsewhere...but that's a project for another time.

Two minor announcements: a second ago, I mentioned that my second computer's waiting to have its power supply replaced. This is the same computer I do all my fanfic writing on, so actual story updates will have to wait.  Also, since my guestbook's getting spammed, I'm tossing another one onto the page.  Feel free to sign, okay? See you.

Saturday, March 03, 2007 ---- Good news and bad news.  The good news is: I'll be able to get my site updated some more again.  The bad news: It'll have to wait until next month, because by then I'll be settled down in Kansas.  That's right; KANSAS.  I'm leaving Michigan behind at the end of the month (which isn't to say I won't be back).  Go upstairs and read the editorial there for information; it's one of the few new things I have set up.  Aside from that, I've changed the front page quote, the entrance graphic (since I don't know EXACTLY when the next update is), and the front page skit as well.  I know I said that I'll be adjusting for space, but that'll be a bit; real-life is hitting me a little hard right now.

Tuesday, December 05, 2006 ---- Okay, I am officially sick and tired of everything that's been happening to me lately.  Around the time of my last update, my father lost my job, and now he spends most of his time on the computer, checking out the job situation...which pretty much explains my lack of activity.  Next, two of my college courses are online courses, and it crams an entire semester's worth of material into six weeks.  Guess how much time all this leaves me? ... ... You got it.  Right now my dad's looking at a job offer from out of state, so there's a possibility we may be moving there soon.  I don't know when I'm going to get back to work on this site, and that annoys me all the more.  Lastly, you may recall the little spaniel/beagle dog I complained about a few years ago?  Well, she had a lot of health problems in her life, and sometime in early November, she accidentally tore a ligament in her back leg going up the stairs.  One would've been managable with help, but then she tore the other one a few weeks later.  We couldn't afford to take care of her, what with the job situation and everything, and, well... I don't really need to finish this, do I?

Anyway, now that I've got the blues out of the way, I've got a few things to say.  One is that I don't know how much time I'm going to have for any web site work, since most of my time is either spent reading, playing assorted games, or working on *What* Insertion?.  Just keep in mind, however, that I'm not dead; as long as I'm alive, I'll find some way to update this place (a bit extreme, I know, but it accurately expresses how I feel right now).  At any rate, I've stuck a picture of the dog, Abigail, somewhere on the index page, and I've updated the quote.  Like the web site, the front page skit's going to have to wait (I'm kind of upset at Cartoon Network for removing the show from the schedule without any warning, so I'm contemplating making a picture with characters from both shows. Just a thought).

Friday, September 22, 2006 ---- Okay, say it with me now: I despise technology.  Around the time of my planned update, my computer's network card decided it didn't like me anymore and went to take a permenant vacation, rendering my DSL connection useless for a month; until then, I either didn't go online at all or was forced to use a dialup connection via another computer.  Anyhow, I have a few announcements to make: #1, over time I'm going to put most of the images on this site at an image gallery called 'FileHigh', and just link to the pictures from there.  This way, I'll conserve space on my Tripod account.  #2, as you already know, I'm slowly converting my *What* Insertion? story for use on HTML files, and I have the Prologue plus the first two chapters available via the Fanfiction Library.  #3, I haven't yet worked on the next segment of the Puffy Amiyumi skit; I'll get to it as soon as I can.

Oh, yeah; the quote's changed, too.

Friday, June 16, 2006 ---- You might remember me saying that my old computer crashed early last year.  Guess what?  The hard drive from that machine is now hooked up to one of my other machines, and I've managed to recover just about everything that was on there.  Just thought I'd mention that...anyway, there isn't any change to the skit just yet, but I have a new episode in the episode guide: "Singing Samurai Sensai-tion".  Read and enjoy, and wait for further updates as events warrant.

Friday, June 02, 2006 ---- I don't update this place as often as I should...at least I'll have some more free time when spring classes end next week.  I updated the quote and the skit, but that's about it.  I should have a few more episode reviews coming in a few weeks, if that means anything.  Take care, all.

Friday, April 07, 2006 ---- Nothing really new, just some minor website adjustments.  The front page skit goes on, and the quote's been changed.  I darkened the background pic on the Elevator page, and adjusted Ambush Cat's text on several pages.  Also, the Fanfiction Library has switched hosts from Thunderball to Carlos Cosmos..  Lastly, on the MSTing page, the last few chapters of my "Shadows of the Past" MSTing hadn't been showing up; that's fixed now.  Go on ahead and browse if you want.

Friday, February 17, 2006 ---- Sweetness.  I have me an HTML editor that actually works for me!  The links in the Intermediate Info section are now nicely arranged.  Also, the quote and the front page skit have been updated.  I'll do what I can as time goes on, alright?

Tuesday, January 3, 2006 ---- See, told you I'd be here in ten days time. I have the quote and the next part of the skit; between walking up to the store to pick up "Kaznapped!" and doing recycling, I didn't have time for much else. See you guys in the funny pages.

Friday, December 23, 2005 ---- The front page skit rolls on, as does the quote. I'm going to try to find some additional space, since my *What* Insertion? story has increased to a half-megabyte in size; I'm also going to put the story on actual HTML pages...eventually. Man, and I thought Kittens of Chaos was big when I first wrote it...

I keep meaning to update this place, but other things keep getting in the way. Let's see, what could I do...maybe I could list the rest of the characters' Japanese names in the "Intermediate Info" page...create an episode summary for the "Nuclear Potato" episode...maybe do some artwork...eh, we'll see. Looks like I'm going to have to force myself to update again, because I keep wanting to sleep. See you in ten days time.

Friday, October 14, 2005 ---- Did I say "probably be removing"? I meant would. "Pokemon: Hazards" has officially been removed, and I got rid of the other ones that were just sitting on the account. More updates as events warrant.

Friday, October 14, 2005 ---- How about that? It's been a while since I've had updates on two consecutive weeks. I fixed a link in the Episode Guide; the link for "Let the Cellar Beware" instead went to my "*What* Insertion?" index page. That's taken care of. I've changed the quote, too. One more thing: I've made a "table of contents" for my own use, helping me to keep track of what pages are which. In the process, I've found old pages that I've forgotten about...and are thus worthy of deletion. I'll be getting rid of them to clear up a bit of space, and I think I'll probably be removing "Pokemon: Hazards" from my fanfic section. Just thought I'd mention it to you.

Friday, October 07, 2005 ---- Schedule's gotten busy since the last time I updated: my playing time on Pokemon: Emerald's been increasing, I'm attending a new college so I can get another associate's degree (a college different from one I had in mind; I just started last week), and there's another game I've gotten into: Star Wars Miniatures. With that aside, the front-page skit, the quote, and several new chapters of "*What* Insertion?" are on the site. The site's long overdue for some additions to the Intermediate Info and the Episode Guide sections, but I don't have as much time on my hands as I used to. I'll get around to it as soon as I can, alright? Thank you.

One more thing about the fanfic mentioned above: if you know any decent artists that wouldn't mind submitting some artwork, use the front-page e-mail addy to let me know. More on that some other time.

Friday, August 05, 2005 ---- It's gone from weekly to monthly to every two months. Kind of sad, really. Anyway, I added my newest fanfictional work, "*What* Insertion?" to the Fanfiction Library's Major Projects section, updated or changed a few misc. stuff, and added some pros, cons, and factoids of several of my characters up in the Pro Files. I think that's everything. Just thought I'd mention that I'll be back to attending college full-time starting in a few weeks, so I don't know what my update schedule's going to be like. I'll still be around, though; that's a constant.

Friday, June 10, 2005 ---- It's official...my webpage program, Trellian Webpage, doesn't even try to load my pages anymore. Thanks in part to a class I took, though, I should be able to manage somewhat without it. I know I said I'd add the Kharlosa pic by now, but that'll have to wait; changing the front page skit will have to do the same. All I can do right now is post the MSTing of the DVGBA fic mentioned below and leave you my assurances that I'm still around...and that a new fanfic project is lurking somewhere in my head. ^_^

Tuesday, March 29, 2005 ---- Okay, I'm back.  If I've kept you waiting, I'm sorry; computer problems and various health problems have impacted my machine usage.  Thanks to my HTML class, there's a trick I want to try out... First, it seems Ambush Cat's text is still too dark in the Theater and Elevator areas, so I added a background color to his text to help things out a little.  Next, I updated the quote and advanced the plot on my homepage scenario (you can tell I like that show, right?).  Third, I switched the title picture to the "Spring" theme. Lastly, several things are on notice for the next update: a picture of a character I created for my "This is Weird" series, Kharlosa Khosmosa (if you want to think of him as Carlos Cosmos, that's fine too).  Second, a MSTING of another DVGBA fanfic, ",crack//deflection".  I'll be back soon, you hear?

You ever wonder what having the flu and extreme loss of appetite for several weeks is like?  You don't want to know.  Trust me.

Saturday, January 29, 2005 ---- I'll be perfectly honest: my life has chewed me up and spat me out, then decided to repeat the process a few times.  Translation: I feel utterly horrible.  I don't know how many of you have been wanting a *real* update, but suffice to say this isn't it.  I modified the coding a bit on a few of the pages, added a background pic to Ambush Cat's profile and lightened the background pic in the Elevator section to make the text easier to read, but other than a few other odds and ends that's about it.  I changed the quote (I watched part of a Three Stooges marathon a few weeks ago) and advanced the front page's opening scenario.  You take care.

Friday, December 24, 2004 ---- Guess my brain cells got the last laugh after all.  I haven't been able to do too much with the website recently due to real life, but I do have some news.  #1: a new scanner's been hooked up to the computer, so I'll be able to scan in artwork again.  #2: I've finally got an idea from an editorial, and it's based on an event that took place not too far from home.  #3: information on that RPG you've heard me mention from time to time, "The Game", is being worked on.  #4: a MSTing of a story by DVGBA is nearing the final stages.  In the meantime I'll leave you with the week's quote and the front page skit, the latter of which will be spread out over several updates.  Also, the title picture has been switched to "winter" mode.  Catch you later.

Friday, October 29, 2004 ---- I finally got up and decided to cover another episode.  #5, "Let the Cellar Beware!" is now in the Episode Guide.  That, and I changed the quote.  I may or may not have a few additions to my photo gallery in the next month; I can't say for sure.  I can say THIS, though: this site will stay updated, even if I have to drag myself over here to do it.  You hear that, brain cells?!  Don't you dare laugh at me!....Sorry about that.

Friday, September 24, 2004 ---- You'll notice that I took an awfully long time in-between updates.  There's a reason for it: no motivation.  Either way, on to business.  Fixed the HTML a little on the 3rd Floor (probably nothing noticeable).  Got a new quote, an editorial describing my vacation experiences, and a few additions to the "This Is Weird!" series in the Fanfiction Library.  All that, plus a photo gallery on the 3rd floor.  Enjoy.

Friday, August 13, 2004 ---- Just the quote(s) this week.  I'm going to be out of state for most of next week, so don't expect any updates until I return.

Friday, July 30, 2004 --- Don't say a word, people.  Don't...say...a word.  I underestimated what real life can do to a person who used to have a lot of initative.  It started with an appointment I had a week after the previous update; let me just say that the aftermath of wisdom teeth extraction takes a lot of bite out of your bark (and there's still a few more that they've yet to get rid of).  After that, it was as if I lost all will to update this thing.  It wasn't until a few weeks ago that I finally decided to get my act together---the result is this update.  I apologize for not getting everything up that I wanted, but at least I have something; quite a number of the sections have been updated in some way.  Browse around and see for yourself; I'll see what I can do about getting everything else I need up in the next week or so, but I'm not promising anything.  One minor note: there's a chance I'll be on vacation out of state in a couple weeks, so I thought I'd give you a little forewarning.

Friday, May 07, 2004 --- Finally.  The college finals are OVER.  And you know what that means?  More free time.  Officially starting next week, I have a ton of things planned: two SPC episode reviews ("Let the Cellar Beware" and "The Nuclear Potato"), the opening of another Elevator section, the first MSTing in the "Satellite of Cat Chaos" storyline, my views on professional sports (that's not just because I'm a bit upset that the Red Wings are out of the playoffs)...and that's just the tip of the glacier.  For now, though, you'll have to satisfy yourself with the weekly quote and the knowledge that writer's block isn't going to get in my way.  I know I've only been putting up the quote recently, and I apologize; college work, mental inactivity, and Abigial drained me of my motivation.  This may very well be the kind of boost I need to get myself going again.

Friday, April 30, 2004 --- I've got the quote up, but that's it.  If you'll excuse me, I'm going to hold off the rest of the update until next Friday.  Two reasons: #1, we recently upgraded from Windows 98 to XP, and I'm having a bit of trouble adapting; #2, finals are coming up next week and I have some stuff to finish for college.  Oh, one more reason: watching over Abigail (the aforementioned puppy that we got) and making sure she doesn't raid our rooms took a chunk out of my time, too.  Until next week, stay cool, and most importantly: be patient.

Friday, April 23, 2004 --- I wish I could say I'm a victim of life, but that would be letting me off too easy.  Several reasons why: #1, a few weeks ago, my family decided to get a cocker spaniel/beagle puppy to replace Sophie.  I'm looking forward to when Aby grows up, because in the meantime she's hyperactive (think Sonic the Hedgehog after three pots of coffee) and she gives me about as much respect as she does the cats.  #2, I seem to have misplaced my RealAudio files; in short, this means I'm going to have to put off the episode review a little longer.  #3, I tried coffee for the first time a few days ago.  An hour, a cup of water, and a bottle of Mountain Dew later, I still couldn't get the bad taste out of my mouth.

Enough about me; let's talk about what you're getting.  You are getting a changed quote and the opening of the Elevator, the link to the Headquarters' underground chambers.  Like I said earlier, "Let the Cellar Beware" is going to have to wait a little bit.  I'll make it up to you as soon as I can, okay?

Friday, April 16, 2004 --- Changed the quote, and switched the Headquarter's theme music.  It used to be the "Metroid" theme; now it's the "Maniac Mansion" theme.  Coming next week: the elevator into the H.Q.'s underground rooms, which will makes accessing the MSTings much quicker.  Also, the review for the SPC episode "Let the Cellar Beware" will finally hit the Episode Guide.  In other news, my scanner's busted; so, if you actually care, don't expect any of my "rare" pieces of artwork anytime soon.

Saturday, April 10, 2004 --- Can you say "defrag"?  I thought so.  A confused defragmentation session---I'm saying "confused" because after defragging for a while, it would start all over and still have the same messed up section at the start of the hard drive---that lasted around 20-24 hours kept me from doing any updating until now.  My apologies, and as usual, I blame the computer.  Anyway, as promised, I have the satire posted in the Fanfiction Library.  Yes, and the quote.

Friday, April 02, 2004 --- Just the quote this week.  Can't think of anything to put on the site, although I might put up an old satire I wrote once at some point next week.  That, and maybe an episode review.  I dunno.

Friday, March 26, 2004 --- Changed the quote, plus I finally opened a working Downloads section.  Check upstairs on the 3rd floor.

Friday, March 19, 2004 --- Nothing planned for this week; just the quote.  I may put up the downloads section in a week or two containing a zip file of my favorite MIDIs, another file of my favorite WAVs, and a completely wacked-out sound collage that only one of my friends has seen in the past 4-5 years, besides myself.  Oh, and about that power blackout I mentioned a few weeks before?  It turned out that it was caused by a broken transformer.  Oh well; it was either one or the other.

Friday, March 12, 2004 --- Well, people, looks like I was wrong about the vacation.  Evidently, it's going to be sometime in April instead.  That being said, I've got a few things here: the updated quote, the remaining parts of "Shadows of the Past" to the Fanfiction Library/MiSTification section, and the addition of "This is Weird" to the Library's Misc. section.  I'm hoping next week I can put some kind of small downloads section inside Headquarters, but only time will tell.

Friday, March 05, 2004 --- Don't have anything planned for this week, so I'll just update the quote.  Next week, expect an early update; my family's going out of state next weekend for a short vacation, and I'm supposed to go with them.  If I don't have an update for this site by next Thursday evening, then don't expect one until the following week.  In other news, high winds and rain caused a power blackout at my college today....am I being dull?  Okay, then.  Sorry; I'll see you next time.

Friday, February 27, 2004 --- Changed quote and added a few background pictures scattered around.  These pictures are variations on a background pic that a friend of mine let me use for my site, so don't be surprised if you see the similarities.  I also changed the front-page scenario to something that would make me nostalgic, and temporarily nullified one of the links currently in the Links section..

Friday, February 20, 2004 --- Got the quote, plus some minor revisions to each of the Pro Files on the 2nd floor.  Plus, I uploaded "Earth to Phibrizzo, Come In" to the Fanfiction Library.

Friday, February 13, 2004 --- Just the quote this week.  For those of you looking for an actual update, I suggest you try back next Friday.  I've got some things planned.

Friday, February 06, 2004 --- Updated the quote.  I also added an editorial on the third floor about a nuisance that's gone from my life...and why I can't help but be upset about it.

Friday, January 30, 2004 --- Just a small update: changing the seasonal picture on the front page and the quote.  In the meantime, I'll try to get my priorities and my plans re-arranged.  Blasted computers.
