The Paris Affair with Elements of a Fellini Film, but is Both Tragic and Satisfying in the Way that Good Paris Romances Should Be
The two lovers, Lover A and Lover B, constructed their affair over books and coffee.  Actually, he drank soda and smoked a cigarette, and she drank tea.  There was a gnat that followed the woman, Lover B, around the city all day, and while the man, Lover A, was describing in detail what he was going to do with the inside of her thigh in the second stairwell, she was busily swatting this gnat, who wanted also to be her lover, but was still in the stage of development where pestering is the highest demonstration of affection.  He finished his cigarette first, then his soda, and she her iced tea, and each one had visions of her thigh and the stairwell, which remained farther in the background, closed for maintenance, and the gnat, well, he was the only one who was fulfilled that day when he followed Lover B into her hotel room where she took a long bath.
A Similar Affair in Barcelona, Although Somewhat More Tragic and Completely Absent of any Fellini Reference, Except for the Title

It was about two oclock in the afternoon, which meant that the young gypsy woman would fold herself in half, cover her head, and shake her cane for the tourists along Las Ramblas, Minor Character C was getting his pocket picked in the Gothic Quarter, although Minor Thief D was discouraged to find that most of the currency in the wallet was in Yuan and not dollars, although there was an ounce of marijuana hidden behind his International Hostel Card, so the encounter was not in vain, and Second Lover B bought herself a black shawl, black thread embroidery, which she would wear over her head in thirty years when her husband, Second Lover A, died, although she would not bump into him for another fifteen minutes.
