Terry Bozzio gained great respect from musicians for his ability

to play The Black Page,

a polyrhymic drum solo composed by Frank Zappa.

This difficult piece set Terry Bozzio on his path to create music

on the drum set.

By the end of the late 80's Terry Bozzio was already stunning crowds with his early Ostinato style solo's.Soon after he released a video called Solo drums,

This video displayed the drum set as a stand alone musical instrument the"Micro-cosmic- orchestra"capable of full rhythmic and melodic statements.

Nearly ten years later Terry Bozzio has released three volumes of a new video set Melodic drumming and the ostinato,

I feel its fair to say that Terry Bozzio has to be the most inspirational ostinato player in the world today.

What can be said about this guy amazing.

Marco can realy lay it down and know where the 1 is in the most complex music.

Marco uses ostinatos in his groove playing more than any other drummer I've seen, his ideas are breath taking and played with "Extreme"quality!
