ONLINE SPANISH LESSONS

I send my pupils the class material in Word attachments, well beforehand. Then we get online in real time, with audio and video at the tiem we have fixed. I can check pronunciation, intonation... as well as spelling and grammar, using the text field that Skype affords you... The class atmosphere is very similar to a face to face lesson. Only...I cannot treat you to a coffee... at least up to the present evolution of technology... (you never know what that will be like within a few years... ha ha). Even when we are thousands of kilometers away, the situation is actually very similar. After we finish the online lesson, I usually send my pupil a homework to do. This is outside real time. They send me their homework. I check it using the Word corrector and send it back to them. I include a draft of our Skype text interchanges for my pupils to use a reference... in grammar and vocabulary.

I am now including two examples which illustrate on my online lessons:

Jason Turi is my pupil in Philadelphia PA. He works for the Camden Coalintion of Healthcare Providers. He needs a fluent Spanish since many of his patients are immigrants who speak that language. He is learning Spanish with me at Level 3 (An Intermediate Level, according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages)

Yasmin Gonzalez is my pupil in New York. She is a lawyer in a big law firm in the city. She has many clients whose L1 is Spanish. She is learning Spanish with me at Level 4 (An Upper Intermediate Level, according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages)

1. Example of a Level 3 lesson of Spanish (Intermediate Level). In the video Jason, my pupil, reads a sentence from the exercise. I give an explanation (an a transaltion). Jason proceeds to create an example. I confirm he is doing well...
