Situational Report
Enemy Forces. Expected Axis capture of Calais in order to launch a cross-channel attack on the coast of England. To be supported by 2 expected offensive pushes on the mainland, one in the extreme North, and another in the extreme South.
Friendly Forces. BEF forces will be operating North of the Meuse River, and south of the Albert Canal. French forces are expected to linkup with BEF forces at Namur.
Objectives
Secure the Meuse River line for further advances. This includes mop-up of already behind-the-lines towns. The 9th Brigade will be assigned this task.
Secure a supply source for strikes in all 3 sectors. This includes the aforementioned secure of the Meuse River line, and the following towns for their respective sectors: Namur, Gedinne, Sedan.
Secure a spearhead of an offensive line deep into Axis territory in all 3 sectors. This will ease the pressure on the BEF forces in the North, and spread the Axis forces as thin as possible.
Execution
Brigade commanders will determine execution of strikes. The aforementioned towns of Namur, Gedinne, and Sedan are suggested sources of supply. The primary supply source for each sector will be determined based on map condition half an hour before the operation's start.
Air units will engage expected heavy presence of Axis air, especially in the Bertrix area. Support squads should expect to escort bombers on attack missions for FB's and AB's in preparation for a massed offensive. Air-to-ground recon will be provided via the OOB or assigned channels during the operation.
Commandos will provide contesting raids to various cities to force a re-deploy of Axis forces. They will also be used to "soften" cities before a massed offensive is collected.
Sector Assignments
Initial sector assignments will follow the current Orbat plan. They are as follows:
1st Brigade: Sector 1, Charleroi-Namur
2nd Brigade: Sector 2, Cambrai-Bertrix
3rd Brigade: Sector 3, Signy, Luxembourg
