Equine Rescue Resource Inc. asks for reasonable donations at the time a placement is approved.
If a horse is sound with no limitations, depending on breed, age and training, we
will ask for a donation in the range of $700 - $1000.
If a horse is rideable with some limitations, we ask for a donation in the $400 - $675 range.
For "pasture puffs", or companion only equines, we ask for a donation of $100.
It's hard to predetermine needs and expenses, therefore we are unable to set one standard Adoption Donation. How much expended varies depending on the equine's needs upon arrival.
We are always willing to work with potential adopters but we ask that you understand that what we request as an adoption donation normally does not cover 100% of the costs we've incurred on the respective equine. For the most part, whatever we receive just helps us purchase some hay, grain and pay a vet or farrier bill.
Equine Rescue Resource Inc. is a 501C3 nonprofit organization and all donations made are tax deductible. We rely on the public for support and to help keep this program, and our horses, alive.
